Best win? Is this what you think defines the worth of an opponent? If they won or got a KO before their fights with Floyd? Best win?

That is certainly a very one-dimensional way at looking at it.

Personally I like to look at the resume, experience and abilities of the opponent. I could care less that Ghost had "his best win" before he beat Floyd. Is that even his best win? Why? Again it doesnt matter. What matters is that that fight was crap.

It doesn't matter when it's Floyd, because people just hate. What this shows is that Floyd is picking winners to fight. He's not picking the losers like Manny and Marquez did. Rios lost to Alvarado and got the Manny fight. Ruslan beat the brakes off Alvarado, and Marquez picks Alvarado vice Ruslan. Khan looks suspect in the Diaz fight, and although Floyd could make more money fighting Khan, he chooses Maidana because Maidaina EARNED the fight.

Read the context of the post. It was in reply to a comment that someone made about Floyd only fighting Cotto if he looked crappy vs Martinez. I gave him examples of his logic being false.

Already looking past Martinez is a huge mistake on Cottos part.

Just for looking past Martinez, I hope Roach gets his lesson to not do so.

We'll never get Mayweather/Manny and the only guy who can even give Floyd a fight is Cotto. People seem to forget that the fl*mo's were saying that Floyd was "choosing to fight that way" or "Floyd just got old." The next two fights Floyd looks the same as he has always done, it wasn't that Floyd was old or fighting for the fans he was in against a QUALITY fighter for once in his career and he got tested.

I'm a huge Cotto fan and I favored Floyd in the first fight but I also said Cotto would give Floyd the hardest fight in his career and Floyd admitted that on camera. Could Cotto beat Floyd, yes absolutely, I still am doubtful it happens but given the options Floyd chooses like Khan, Maidana and any other crap fight, this is hands down the best option and one of the few I would pay for. Also I love how people just say Floyd will win a rematch because he makes adjustments... Yea, so does Cotto they are both very smart fighters. I saw someone say Floyd now has his dad in his corner... So Floyd gets better with a new trainer but Cotto can't? Fl*mo's are just scared Floyd will have a bloodied up face and look vulnerable again and they can't handle seeing that.
Just because Cotto gave Floyd a bloody nose don't mean Cotto has a shot in rematch with no defense Roach in Cotto's corner. Floyd beat Cotto 8 rounds to 4 in my opinion. Roach is gassing Cotto up to take L's. I'll watch it and don't care if it happens again but Cotto gets picked apart.
