Best resume at welterweight since the fab 4 era?

odlh had great comp but lost most of them, Whitaker fought decent comp but not as good, and manny....ODLH, MOSLEY were shot, Rios wasnt ranked, nor was Marquez, and Cotto was one fight removed from a controversial win and a beatingIn another post you said that quality was important. I'm scratching my head at the names that you brought up for Mayweather because when he fought those opponents, I keep telling myself,
- which good/great WW did they beat?
- Were they themselves considered good/great WWs at the time?
- How many fights have they fought at WW?
- Were they prime WWs?
You named 7 WW opponents where 4 of them combined had a total of 4 WW fights!!!
Who did you vote for? He has better overall wins at the weight than Mosley, Whitaker, and ODLH the same applies to everyone....who did they beat, when did they beat them, and were they prime. Every fight has fought past prime and prime fightersComment

He was chasing a fight against Trinidad, Whitaker, Quartey and including Chavez. Instead of ppl chasing him because he was @1 p4p he had to do it. He did have good fights at WW but nobody seemed to eager to get in their against him.Comment

Shane Mosley is up there, especially if you scored some fights for him.
De La Hoya, Cotto(If you gave Mosley the fight), Margarito, Collazo, Mayorga, S. Taylor, A. Diaz.
Mayweather has a good WW resume but his best career wins are more spread out through 5 weight classes, rather than focused in one weight class: 130: Hernandez, Corrales, Chavez, 135: Castillo, Sosa, 140: Gatti, Corley, 147: Marquez, Mosley, Hatton, Guerrero, Judah, Baldomir, Ortiz and 154: De La Hoya, Canelo, Cotto.
I picked Mayweather, because too many dumb asses picked Pacquiao, but I actually think it's Whitaker easily.Comment

I agree many Pac fans are terrible but Mayweather fans are like the snobby, elitist gatekeepers of the sport.
What a joke you guys are

As I stated above, I have not voted as I haven't thought it out completely through.odlh had great comp but lost most of them, Whitaker fought decent comp but not as good, and manny....ODLH, MOSLEY were shot, Rios wasnt ranked, nor was Marquez, and Cotto was one fight removed from a controversial win and a beating

Just going by who they fought, guys like Oscar and Mosley should be ahead of everyone but as you stated, they also lost some of those. Still, there is a huge huge difference between losing a close fight to Tito or Mosley than beating someone like Baldomir and Guerrero. Not even close!
As far as Floyd is concerned, you said it yourself, Floyd's only notable win was against a shot fighter named Mosley. The way you stated Mosley (shot fighter), when you add that Mosley was inactive for 16 months, had to put that OLD body thru 2 training camps in a row, you need to throw that one out of the window.
So then, who is left for Floyd? Judah? The Judah that lost to Baldomir, Clottey, Cotto, Spinks and Floyd at WW? The Judah that realized he is not doing good at 147 so he stepped back down to his best weight? That Judah? Who thinks that Baldomir is great on a resume? Not me, not anyone!!!
Besides those 3, Floyd fought 5 opponents that had a total of 5 fights at WW. That means a lot when you are tabulating the who of who of resumes for a given division. Furthermore, who did they beat? Keep scratching your head because you will NOT be coming up with any notable fighters just a bit of hype.
