Good point, and the welter division was pretty stacked back then with starling, mccory, etc.... and like you said,, curry was clearly the #1 guy

Manny has 23, Floyd 21, and Donald curry 3?

        You suck.

Or are ppl just discriminating because curry allegedly liked to suck a d1ck here and there? Who cares if he took it up the rear, prime marlin starling is easily better than anyone either Floyd or manny beat at 147.

His performance against Mccory > any performance of Floyd or manny at WW

        Roger Mayweather was right

I think it shows that NSB posters for the most part are new to the sport and really have no idea who donald curry is, or julian jackson, mccallum, etc
Which is fine,, you gotta have new fans to keep the sport alive, but some have to do some research and learn about the greats from the past, because floyd and manny arent the be-all-end-all of boxing,, much more to this sport then just the last few years, and not every guy you see today is the greatest ever,

                Maybe, but that's fantasy land.

Dude is nothing compared to some of the guys on the list, but I do give him props for his accomplishment.

Im surprised so many people forgot about Curry as well. His prime was short but at 147 he only lost one fight at 147 and was the last undisputed since Leonard. Wins over Bruce Finch, Starling, McCrory, James "Hard Rock" Green, and defended WBA 7 times and lineal several times.

                  He is definitely top 3-5

I think a lot of people never saw him fight or heard of him

Curry was a very good fighter,, he wasnt "nothing" he was very accoplimpshed at welter, and never really recovered after the honeygan fight

Similar to vernon forrest that conquered the welter divsion but reign cut shot by an unknown mayorga who was his version of honeygan

Out of both of them the best win at 147 is Floyd's win over Mosley and that was only because Mosley was the man to beat at that time and YES Manny did duck Mosley after he defeated Margarito. But Floyd fought him and beat him while Mosley was hot. Lets not forget that ALOT of people were saying Mosley was going to KO Mayweather, even Roach and Arum. That is the only semi "great" win at 147 between the two of them. Other then that they both have decent wins over said opponents. Floyd has beaten higher ranked guys coming off a big wins at 147 while Manny has beaten big names that were coming off of major losses. So it KIND OF evens out. Floyd has a better resume but its not by a huge margin. Both their resumes are decent at 147.
This about sums it up for me....I agree its not by a mile but because of when Mayweather fights his opponents its gets him the edge over manny, he always faces guys off of big wins.

the more I think about it...I voted for Floyd but I should have waited because Im leaning towards Donald Curry
