According to Stevensons promotor Michel, everything was agreed upon for a Kovalev fight. Suddenly Stevenson hires Haymon who shops the Fonfara fight to Showtime leaking Kovalev hanging out to dry. A duck cannot get much clearer than that.


You wanting to see Stevenson fighting Hopkins rather than Kovalev is your choice. I know very well which fight I want and that does not involve a boring, dirty old age pensioner.

I just read somewhere that Stevenson is due to make 1.75 mil with Showtime. That means the Kovalev fight wasn't to far off from this same price, because HBO was willing to match the 40% increase, but Stevenson/Haymon refused to agree.

So, again, I ask all my boxingscene businessmen; EXACTLY how much more is Stevenson making with Hopkins than will Kovalev?

So Stevenson hired Haymon to negotiate the Fonfara fight, not the Kovalev fight. Is Fonfara allowed to fight at Showtime? If that is the case, then why the need to negotiate the fight with HBO people when, as many people here say, he'll be okay signing up with Haymon/Showtime and can get what he wants?

I don't believe Stevenson is scared of Kov,I just think he's a man who understands that this sport tosses you out like yesterdays garbage when it's done with you,best make the right decision while your on top..I believe Stevenson has done this..

A duck is what Marquez did to Prov..There was no better business move involved with Marquez not fighting Prov(so maybe you should take this way of thinking into a thread about him)here Nelson you've already proved that Stevenson will make more fighting on Showtime..Not to mention B-Hop is a better fighter overall then Kov..Case close..Once again,let's see Kov fight Pascal..There is still someone there he can be tested by..Why no yelling for that fight I wonder..

So i take this as a no. U havr no idea what adonis will makr as the a-side with kov than as the b-side with hop.. for all we know, adonis could be making the same.
