I respect your romantic way to see the reality of this sport. For me I want to see the best fights at the right time, not after they are all. No protect the boxers, no ducking, no excuses. Before vanes match the winner would face Canelo and after the draw he said Lara doen't deserves the fight. Later when Lara faces him in the press conference he said lara has to wait his turn on whatever this phrase could mean.

lara didnt deserve it at that moment cuz he couldnt beat vanes, and at the press conf, he said to wait turn but he didnt say anything about merits, the fight will get done sooner or later, but is canelo who calls the shots, not lara or his fans, lara better dont test canelos ego or else he wont get shiett...

As far as I can see your reasoning for you is fine not to foght the best opponents in a division. The fight in this division is against Kirkland or Lara. Cotto and Martinez are old grandpas who are going to be beaten by Canelo. For you is fine, for me no. I want to see the fights who are not easely predictable who will win. Those are the challenge, but the others fights against Cotto or Martinez I bet on Canelo. When a fighter is usually fighting with this logic for me is a ducker because is avoiding real challenges most of the time

no one will fight lara over cotto-martinez, dont be naive, boxers have a short career and they will take the money fights when available, neither you or this forum will pay for his retirement, you just cant call a duck when there is more money involved on another fight, this is pro boxing, not the Olympics...
hopefully we get the fight soon, but i will prefer if canelo grabs the ibf or wbc belt first and then goes after lara to unify titles and maybe even the ring puts the belt on the line that way we will end up with an absolute champion, the winner of those two deserve that...

you are an unreasonable fan who is not realizing that this is a business and you arent holding everyone to the same standard. Money will always supercede everything. Cotto-Sergio is just a bigger fight, no matter which way you want to slice it and I dont think everyone agrees with you that Lara is even a harder fight than the winner of that fight.

I say you dont hold people to the same standard because Lara himself would 100 out of 100 times do the same exact thing. You think he wants Canelo just because he's so great? No, its also for finacial reasons. Did you see Lara begging for a Molina rematch when he had the title? No because other guys bring more money/fame to the table.

The Lara fight will be there for Canelo after the Cotto-Sergio winner but there is no guarantee that the winner will be there for him afer Lara. You always go with the money 1st. Every fighter does whether you want to admit it or not. These guys take massive punishment. They all want to be paid for it.

Again though, the things you are saying makes no sense. You keep talking about Kirkland. They tried to fight him a ton of times. Do you really think they are scared of Kirkland? They probably think thats not much different than an Angulo fight and alot of fans would agree. The money issue is another excuse for ducking. A fight with Lara will generate good revenues if GB does his job promoting well the fight. Anyway GB can move the fight to MIami and you will see how the coliseum will be full

Mainly now Canelo don't deserves LAra due to his last performances comparing with Lara performances. That's why this sport is today a manipulation. Guys, as far are everybody can recognize Canelo is afraid and ducking this conversation is over. Don't make more excuses to say why your fighter is fighting bums and grandpas and not making a real fight besides MAyweather. You guys will enjoy his fight with Cotto. For me is not worthy because Cotto is done at this level. The other are excuses ofr ducking and that's why this is an art of ducking with excuses instead an art of fighting in the ring. Don't bother with this guy.

He is so blinded by his love for his fellow Cubans he is unreasonable.
In one breath he says Canelo is a bum, in the other breath he says he wants to see the best fight the best and it's why Canelo should fight Lara.
