The Canelo winning over Trout was controversial, so the one who really buried Trout was Lara with a convincing winning. If Canelo doesn't fight Lara this year it could be viewed in the form of a billed shaped animal but until now not sure when or how Lara should of gotten the fight.

Everything is in comparison and relative to another fighter. Trout is a elite fighter and a threat, but for sure Trout in comparison to Lara was not a threat, like Cotto is not in comparison to Lara. Any fighter can win and get a upset. Cotto can win because he is an elite fighter, and Lara can loose because he is fighting top level fighters. But in this moment Lara or Kirkland are the best opponents to face. You are the one without credibility if you think differently and continue with excuses to avoid the real challenges.

trout was considered the biggest threat of 154lb at the time the fight was made, there are threads on this forum from people claiming canelo was ducking trout, canelo was shook, blah, blah, blah... trout was coming off a big performance vs cotto, lara was coming off a mediocre performance vs vanes, but whatever makes you happy...
