nobody knows for sure. obviously you lean on the all time great over the guy with one great fight.

if you bet on rigondeaux and are confident you've probably only seen the donaire fight.

Excellent point. That's a seminal issue. And it plays in reverse for some. That "great fight" is more provocative than anything Floyd has ever done. He has never performed so well. He has never fought anyone as dangerous.. All factors combined. Depends on how you look at it, you know?

Rigo, like jmm or James toney live off countering guys, yet Floyd like a Roy jones will minimize the chances for a counter and won't be there to be hit...
Counterpunchers always struggle with movers that don't give them openings for the counters.
Floyd won't give rigo the openings he needs to be successful

Doņaire is a good fighter, but he benefited greatly from his matchmaking..guys like montiel, Omar, etc couldn't handle the size and athletic ability of donaire..
I'm not trying to knock donaire but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have been as dominant had he fought mares schedule of opponents over the past few years

Marquez suffered the same fate Broner did by jumping to 2 classes to 147. Not everyone is Duran. Divisions are there for a reason.

Rigo is tremendously athletic with very quick feet. Perhaps you're not considering that? JMM is one of the slowest, least fleet footed elite fighters in the game. His hands are unbelievable but he's virtually immobile. BIG factor when you're having a discussion about the Mayweathers and Rigondeauxs of the world.
