Floyd has an easier time coming forward than Rigo does.
Yeah... I see Rigo as having the far superior movement than Zab though.. so he would need a different gameplan.. chasing after Rigo is literally going right into his wheelhouse. And the big problem against Zab came when he was going for a jab (or was it a straight right?) To the body....got hit with a Zab short hook... point is it was a counter shot. Floyd does NOT want to be caught overextended against Rigo. Which is why Floyd would need to concentrate on defense and counterpunching...

Speaking jabs... Floyd would need to not try to counter every pawed jab, as was pointed out those are traps. he needs to counter the straight lefts and lead right hooks. Throw the Mayweather jab when there is spacing for it but dont overuse it because Rigo will be looking to counter.

Floyd has an easier time coming forward than Rigo does.. I agree..which is why the natural thing to do is make Rigo come forward. Take him out of his comfort zone.

Fight a disciplined fight.. make it cat and mouse..make Rigo come to you.. get the better of those exchanges..it will be very sparse action.. as you gain rounds rigo will get more desperate to hurt you..desperate= more sloppy.. thats when you can really get him with counters.

Floyd wouldn't fight him but lets just imagine that he would.

Who's going to lead? I see Rigo leading and not falling into Floyd trap, the one where he steps back, waiting on his opponet to make a move just to counter. Well, you can't do this with Rigo. How about Floyd doing the shell defence? Well you can't do that with a fighter like Rigo, he'll just calmly, smartly, stick you from the outside, never needing to come in close against Floyds shell defence allowing Floyd to wait to counter, Rigo wont fall for this.

Rigo after all has been rushed as a professional. And had his super fighter much quicker than Floyd had his. Rigo edges this, and we'd see Floyd try to attack Rigo as he did with Augustus and as he tried with Castillo in the 2nd fight but failed.

Rigo like Floyd has under-rated power.

Rungo wouldn't have a chance because health would come first.

Floyd hasn't even the balls to fight Lara who hypothetically is a watered down Rigo.

If Rigo was blown up to Floyds size and lost 80% of his godliness you'd be left with Lara.

Floyd only fights flat-footed guys these days since Roach claimed his legs had gone
Lara is nowhere near as skilled Rigondeaux,Lara is basic compared to Rigondeaux. And you say Floyd doesn`t have to balls to fight Lara-just like you people said he didn't have the balls to fight Canelo,Cotto,Ortiz and others.

Rigo got dropped by nobodies early in his career.Floyd has a significant height and reach advantage.Rigo`s win over Donaire is a good win,but Donaire was never really all that good to begin with. And Floyd has more tricks up his sleeve then anybody; In every fight i see Floyd do something i didn't see him do in other fights. So Rigo would be up against a fast, very skilled, highly unpredictable fighter with a height and reach advantage.

Floyd beats Rigo by decision at 147 and would stop Rigo if they fought at 130-because 130 is Floyd`s best weight. He's a really big puncher at that weight.

I think Rigo has the style to beat Mayweather (on points).

He's black, fast, elite lateral movement, and has powerful counter punches.

Mayweather's style works best against opponents with limited athleticism. Rigo's black; he's got that rhythm.
I don't think so. Truthfully I don't care much either way as both are very boring and uneventful.

Doesn't fight on the inside enough for my taste. He would rather bore us to tears by waiting on the back foot to counter.

I don't think so. Moving up to welterweight he'd have slowed down considerably.

The only thing I could speculate is that Rigondeaux would lose power, and become heavier/slower.
