    Picked Rigo

He has a stylistic advantage over Floyd

    slick southpaw counterpuncher

I think Floyd's ability to cut off the ring wouldn't be enough for Guillermo's backfoot movement

Not only is it likely Guillermo MAKES Floyd come forward, Floyd would also have to evade counters as he's cutting the ring down

Floyd's best bet is to use his jab to neutralize Guillermo's movement and counter the southpaw measuring jab

Why would Floyd have to give chase at all, thats playing into El Chacal's strength... Let Rigo come to him and counter him. Floyds stationary defense is better than Rigo's... just dont chase him let him come to you and pick him off...

Rigondeaux outboxed Donaire and it's like he can outbox anyone now.

Not too sure about Floyd's stationary defense. He relies on distance often to be slick. He lands his favorite punches from a distance as well, lead right hands, pull counters all that jazz.

Rigo is much better up close defensively. He turns you over and boom

Because Donaires left hook was so effective right? Rigo paws to draw counter shots, are you ******? Its not a mistake he is making, he is waiting for you every time he does that, which is why you would KTFO in half a second by him.

Rigo would take Floyd to school. Imagine what Judah did to him, but for 12 rounds, and even worse.

Eh.. Floyd can stand and defend in the pocket when he needs to. Against a volume power puncher not so smart.. but against a guy who throws one significant punch at a time its more effective. He has a sneaky right hand out of the shoulder roll.. he has the check hook.. and he has tricky tie up tactics to make space for short shots inside. El Chacal's southpaw stance would give fits.. he'd even land some straight lefts I bet.. but Floyd would eventually adjust and start timing and countering a Rigo that is more comfortable defending against a chasing aggressor.

and Floyd isn't an invincible machine. Lesser fighters like past his prime de la hoya have given him issues.

To say that this is easy for any one of them is a ridiculous. This is a fantasy dream match.

I think it is genuinely 50-50. Rigo is the one boxer that would force Floyd to come Forward, and perhaps the only out there to match him in instincts, smarts, and quickness.

Of course prime Floyd (130s) would be something else, but I never saw prime RiGod either.

This is a truly great, 50-50 fight. Anyone who thinks it is a wipeout either way is just a fan boy.

can you really time Rigo, though? More importantly, wouldn't Rigo make adjustments, too?

This one is breaking my brain.

Yes, because Rigo being a standout amateur and 2x gold medalist Olympian from the Cuban school of boxing means nothing.....
