the very nature of this thread is hypocritical, how many black fans liked warren moon and currently like donovan mcnabb because they are black ? there is nothing wrong with anyone liking an athlete whom they can identify with whether it be based upon race or region or whatever, duplicity is obviously a racist whom covers up his own racism by accusing others of it first, how long will these various boxing message boards tolerate such dividers ?

Out of only white guys? I think it's pretty obvious I like the Kitschko brothers. I don't know about them being the best white guys though, and give me more a specific time frame to work with other than "the past generation"

The truth is, I think that most people have a bit of a racist side to them and white people do have a tendency to support white fighters.

However, there is also definately a tendency amongst black fans to support black fighters and Hispanic fans to support Hispanic fighters. Nobody can deny that.

Very true, but what the original poster is saying, is that the Media jumps all over good white fighter ( but still untested against a few quailty opponents) and hypes the **** out of them , and making them seem better than they are.

I cant blame the white race for wanting a great white fighter, cause every race wants a champion of thier race.

But it does piss me off that the media ; which pretty much controls and sways information to fit their agenda, does this type of ****.

I see your point. Good post. I guess the issue lies within who the Media favors and who is blown up deservedly or not. Manfredo Jr. certainly got alot of support which I guess is worthy of the attention the less than spectacular matchup has gotten from ESPN. Great fight though. Manfredo Jr. looked like the next big thing the way ESPN covered that fight.
