I'm not certain at all, which is why I mentioned the possibility of Rigo having to go overseas, but GBP is the first place we should look.

Mayweather Promotions would have room for him too. Since Floyd has announced his fall 2015 endgame, why not embrace a guy who would easily become the biggest name on your roster, one who you could introduce to the MSM and put under your shoulder as the flagbearer for Mayweather Promotions in futuro?

There is certainly plenty of money in that Showtime contract to cover his expenses and then some. He would be upgraded and so would your company; it would be mutually beneficial I believe and the business affiliation with Golden Boy Promotions only makes it more so.

if you make him the headliner in an arena where the main undercard fight includes a fighter from that state-thats probably going to happen.

Rather than do that, perhaps they should give him the semi main spot on ppv cards.

Is it 100% true that Lomachenko would beat the crap out of Rigo? Arum has been having his PR firm release articles about Rigo that denigrate him.

As his promoter it is his contractual duty to promote him. We have heard Arum hail horrible horrible fighters such Tye Fields as the next coming of Muhammad Ali... He has no problems promoting fighters, and selling them as the next big thing, even if they aren't.

Arum however is actively sabotaging Rigo. Its very clear that he has sour g****s over the Donaire loss.

Rigo threw almost 1000 punches in the Agbeko fight... 222 powershots, and was pushing the action. Arum's narrative SHOULD be, Rigo tried to push the action, Rigo was the aggressor, Agbeko didn't come to fight, etc...

Instead we get "Rigo is boring, nobody wants to see Rigo. How am I gonna sell Rigo?"

It clear that Arum is saying these things out of malice.

Don't you remember "Tye Fields would beat the Klitscko's"?

I agree that a negligence cause of action seems more appropriate. How can a promote so purposely sabotage his client? I want Rigo and Caribe Promotions to get this Top Rank contract over with ASAP!!

If Molina beat Canelo and then got shat on by his promoter, how would he feel then?

Just because you beat the big dog doesn't mean you're going to make the same money they do from that point on, or that you're all of a sudden going to be a big draw.

I think Molina realizes a Canelo fight would simply be a big opportunity for him, and wouldn't think he deserves what Canelo has just because he beat him.

Rigo acts like just because he beat Donaire he should be making what Donaire was making and he should have the fans Donaire has.

No it's not. Has nothing to do with race, at all. After all Trinidad was a black Puerto Rican who spoke no English and there was no problem in promoting him.
It's strickly stylistic. Both Lara, and Rigondeaux, have extremely boring styles, they don't put butts in seats, and a side from a handful of hardcore fans here there really isn't a demand for him.

Also Lara has a boring style?. Those comments are the one who shows the biases in the comments. Lara is not boring at all and exchange punches because doesn't have the perfect Rigo's defense. I dont disagree with the vast majority of your post. My only point was that its not a defamation case. But as for your assertion that its Arum's duty to "promote" Rigo, thats not entirely correct. A promotional contract basically provides the terms regarding number of fights, purse minimums, contract length, etc etc. The word "promote" is not defined in a promotional contract. Now certainly Rigo could make a case regarding Arum's lack of "best efforts", but by the time that would get anywhere his current contract will already be expired.......

I believe that is not necessary to be in the contract defined the word promote. Is an ethics principle that your promoter should promote you and sale you, not say that you are a boxer with flaws and give the reason to your critics and enemies. In the same case a church pastor or priest can't talk agains't a confession of a member of the church even when I have not signed a contract with the priest, because the ethics principle accepted by the society is against it. Arum should pass the chapter of Nonito defeat. He is still crying his cash cow and can't accept how Rigo destroyed his image in a couple of hours, just in the moment Donaire was able to give him the best returns of profits. Arum is a looser that can't accept his defeats

Bob Arum must have paid people all over the world to not watch Rigo vs. Agbeko, which is why it drew the lowest Boxing After Dark rating of all-time with 550,000 viewers.

Why did Lara vs. Trout draw the lowest rating on Showtimes's 12/7 card? Is that part of the conspiracy too?

I bet Rigo and Lara both drew 2 million + viewers and HBO and Showtime gave us fake numbers, hahaha.
