Only way u sell a guy who has no buzz what so ever ........match him up against a guy who does duhhhhhhh isnt that how he got his biggest win to date!!!!!
Its not rocket science rigo isnt a draw so put him up against the guys who are an if he dont want the fight or his team cant make it THEN start talkin bout the networks or the promoters u cant blame them for a guy whos only beat 2 known names in his pro career when u have a record like rigos u aint supposed to do s**t but win an win big if u want to be noticed if u want rigo buzz become a pro have 1 huge win then chillout u want more win an keep winning like he did against nito !!!!

Bob Arum is right. Rigo might be full of talent but cannot definitely sell a fight with his amateur thinking. People pay to watch a fight not dance.

Go rigo : hit and not get hit ; you can not hit what you don't see .
Rigo beat up Rob Arum's cash half cow and exposed him for what he is "Hype and Pampered". Now the HBO executives are using their hatred towards him for just that reason. Nonito was suppose to KO Rigo but took a beating that made him run and give Vic another shot after what 5-7 years. Top Rank and HBO are full of crap. Beat one of their so called top dogs and you get hated on. Rigo is a boxing machine and that's the name of the sport. If people want to see knock outs go spend their money on that B.S. MMA crap.

They want the Cubans to be meat for climbing the others "champions" like many other foreign boxers are, but Cubans are not. They want to be champions and the boxing school is one of the best in the world since ever. They are claiming back their place in the boxing map once they had, but today without profitable fan base and this is the problem.
Also Rigo, Lara, Gamboa are not humble and close their mouth to Arum and the promoters. They say the truth and Arun is accustom to everybody bow in front of him. Your boxers usually do this, but Rigo confront him with the truth and Arum don't like this. You must say the truth to everybody that is against you, like Arum is against Rigo. My best wishes to Rigo and I take off my hat to him

I like a technical fight but as bob said rigo seems to coast and to me thats just LAZY!!!!!
You can't "coast" as you put it and be the dominating champ that Rigo has become. A fighter who is "lazy" would never have the skill and discipline that Rigo has. I think what you mean is, he doesn't take enough RISK! but coasting and lazy should never be used in the same sentence with Rigo.

Please see the letter gary Hidez, Rigo's manager, wrote in response to Bob arum's comments. The letter is the best answer.
                    "Dear Bob,

I read your comments once again trashing Guillermo Rigondeaux.

Let me remind you that it became clear to us well before the bout that Joseph Agbeko was, to use a euphemism, " troubled ". We asked, through Mr. English, that an opponent likely to be more competitive be used. The public does not know this. But you do.

All Joseph Agbeko did was to try to survive, perfectly predictable under the circumstances, as we both know.

Now you are once again trashing Guillermo Rigondeaux for following the direction of Top Rank and of HBO in fighting an opponent who did not want to be there and who simply wished to survive.

Tell the public the truth. Tell them that we knew full well that Agbeko was an inappropriate opponent and that Mr. Rigondeaux's representatives said so. Tell the truth and blame those who went forward in light of the advice to select another opponent. Tell the public who made the decision to use Agbeko, who made the decision to keep him in light of unmistakable signs as to the likelihood he would simply fight to survive (at best) and stop trashing the fighter you promote.

We look forward to Rigondeaux's next bout. It is time that Top Rank schedule same.

                    Gary Hyde
                    "

Rigo needs to fight bigger dudes or be waaaaaaay more ko minded.

He's a masterboxer and the best in his division by a mile, and I'm a very big fan, but you see it in other fighters. Being more agressive than they should be, be action fighters, unfortunately, you have to do that sometimes.
