It is what it is. If Danny could have won without the constant clinching and dozen punches to the balls he would have done so, but that's what he needed to do to have a chance of winning. Knowing GBP would take care of any chance of him getting DQ or too many points deducted he obviously went for it.
Same thing with Maidana. El Chino was boxing and Broner was fighting an MMA fight, throwing as much elbows as actual punches at some point, then there's the humping and punching after the bell, all that an not a point deducted? Come on. Even then he couldnt win, but luck had a lot to do with. Luck and dominating Broner to such an extent, but any of those elbows Broner threw could have opened up a cut in Maidana, costing him the fight, or the punch he threw after the bell rang could have KO him or wound him enough so that Broner got an unfair victory in the 12th.
Boxing shouldnt be this way and that's that, rules should be followed like in any other sport. It really isnt that much to ask. You get a warning, then you lose a point, then you go *** yourself and get DQ until you can man up and fight fairly.
