Matthysse vs Garcia - Would Matthysse have won with both eyes?

Had Matthysse not lost one of his eye and Garcia didn't resort to becoming a nut cracker, would Matthysse have won?

yes because prior to the swelling in round 6, matthysse was winning. In my books he was up 4-2, and if you are a garcia fan boy maybe it was tied 3-3. In round 6 when it happened you saw a change in the fight and also lucas was getting hit with more left hooks. If you notice prior to round 6 he was blocking the hooks and rolling them lots, after the eye... not so much

He almost pulled it out with one. The fight clearly changed from that point

Idk about wining but it was real competitive until that eye closed(due to a Garcia punch) I would lov3 to see a rematch the boxing gods was in Garcia coner that night ....TBH I don't see Garcia holding on to that o for that much longer

It changed the out come of the fight tremendously. Dont know if he would have got out boxed or not. But i do think Garcia wouldnt have landed so many power shots. He did what he should have and went after his prey when he sensed he was wounded. Had he not had his eye busted up...Fight would surely have gone another way!

I believe so, prior to the swelling he was either 4-2 or 5-1 up and his defence was sound.

After it, he started getting hit with shots that were being blocked prior to the loss of vision.

Doesn't matter unfortunately, Garcia won. C'est la vie.

actually i saw a slow mo video it wasnt a punch it was more of an eye rake or paw that caused it. It wasnt intentional though

Garcia was in control the entire time. He caused the swelling. People arguing are ******ed lol

yeah sure lucas should have called time out then postponed the fight for a week or two its not fair that he was punched in his eye this isn't a contact sport after all and its not his fault he has a crappy defense... that eye is the reason lucas went all out and connected his best punch

it wasn't a punch what caused the swelling. not saying it was intentional foul from danny, but it wasn't a punch, there is a video. matthysse only got tagged with danny's left hook once his right eye was closed, and even so the fight was competitive.
