Watching someone son and discipline another opponent, I am scoring the fight for them. I don't know about you but I rather be the guy punching and not the guy taking them.

When did I ever go into hiding? I gave Garcia his credit along with most Matthysse fans.

The problem is that because SO MANY were picking Lucas to win by KO the backlash has completely swayed how people think about the fight. Fair enough the Matthysse hype (or rather the lack of hype for Garcia) meant we got the prediction wrong but that doesnt change what happened in the ring, which was a close but clear fight.

'Ass whoopins' generally arent close (but clear) decisions where the winner had to fight hard right up until the final bell.

If this was an 'ass whooping' then god knows what you guys would think of Mayweather vs Gatti or something like that

He did collect a whooping from rounds 6-12 and got dropped, beat up and a closed eye in the process.

He's a Floyd fan what did you expect? Losing by 1 round is considered an "ass whooping" to them.

All of these excuses ppl are making for Lucas why he lost and I have never heard him or his camp complain about anything. I can be mistaken but I have never read or heard a report of Lucas making any excuses why he lost.

Mathysse is one dimensional.

When I saw Garcia take Mathysse best punch I knew he would eventually take control of the fight. People say he lost the first rounds. But they were close rounds. Could have gone either way.

The way I see it , the fight was being fought at Mathysse pace. Danny was figuring it out and weathering the storm. Once he found the distance and started landing some punches he slowed him down.

Lucas lost steam mid way through the fight. He was so confident in his power and when he saw Danny was just as strong and could dish it and take it I saw different body language from Mathysse.

People need to get over the loss. Danny would beat him even worst in a rematch in my opinion. Danny has improved a lot. Is not one dimensional as Lucas. And his confidence right now skyrocketed. I think Danny stops Lucas in a rematch.

Well it had quite an impact in the fight. It's definitely possible he could have won. It was a competitive fight anyway. But this is boxing. Swelling, cuts and other injuries happen. It's par for the course. His eye got swollen. He lost, and believe me, I wanted Matthysse to win that fight very badly.

IMO,Matt's loss by more then just a rd..That's just me tho..
