    Its a rather simple concept
Dont know why it needs to be stated again but it really doesn't get any simpler than this, Rances should have been DQ'ed.

Not entirely similar, but it reminded me of the Concepcion-Luevano fight when Abe was DQed for a KO punch after the bell

Let's go back and have the commission DQ Wlad for excessive holding vs Povetkin. It is strictly against the rules to commit such a foul.

So Mendez should lose his belt because Barth was in the heat of the moment and KOd him after the bell? The ref's job is to keep control and give warnings/penalties if fouls are committed. He doesnt HAVE to step in between fighters the moment the bell rings, the fighters are responsible for complete control of their fists and the ref is responsible to give appropriate punishment.

According to you its ok to keep punching the other fighter after the bell unless the ref physically steps in. Cmon

The fighters cannot punch after the bell rings. Why are people blaming the ref for Barth punching the guy, it makes no sense. If the ref doesnt signal, you cannot keep punching after the bell. Moreso the ref was behind him, if he did signal he wouldnt have seen it. But he cannot continue punching. Im not saying he's a monster for it, but he shouldnt win on a clear foul and Mendez shouldnt lose on a foul agaisnt him

Bro, you're overlooking two key elements here. One: Punch combinations, once initiated, are essentially unstoppable. Once a one-two-three combo is decided on by a fighter, he has virtually no power to take it back. Two: There is a judgement factor in interpreting the rules of boxing. Given my first point, it's entirely understandable why the ref didn't see fit to disqualify Barthelemy.

Deal with what? I'm not a fan of either fighters. Its hilarious watching cuban nut huggers happy and ignore rules just because he's from their country. Its completely unfair to mendez to lose his belt on a foul.

unstoppable, please dont make me laugh.

Even if it was unstoppable and unintentional, you cannot win a fight on KO AFTER the bell. It should be a NC, i dont care, but mendez or any fighters should not lose on punches after the bell.

The ref was not the one responsible for him throwing those punches, no matter how much u want to believe it

You keep saying it's not they're job ... If it's not they're job to break up the action , then why does every ref do it instead of standing way back and waiting for a foul ,so they can take a point. Isn't that they're job then , to stand back and wait for a foul ? Please answer that.

I'll give u my answer , half of fights would end DQ
