The better fighter usually doesn't need a rematch to get it done. Rematches are for guys that need to fight their opponent to figure him out. Rematches suck.

No kidding. Why? Because Byrd was laying on the ropes. It was some weird strategy that he had, and he admitted it was ******. Somehow I don't quite think Byrd would've done the same thing in a rematch...
He lay on the ropes against Tua and still won. the reason Ike did so well was his handspeed, Byrd had never faced a big guy with that handspeed before. Ike also developed a unique way of throwing the uppercut before the Byrd fight apparently. he also was hitting Byrd in the centre of the ring with good right hand leads. Ike just fought a good steady fight, and fought Byrd smart.
