I call it like I see it. Do you necessarily need skills to be a great, great fighter? Were Foreman's skills ever THAT good? Nope. Keep in mind, Ike was still considered a ****ing PROSPECT when he beat Tua and Byrd, and Byrd has since only lost to one other person , a developed highly skilled fighter in Klitschko. Ike had all the intangibles too like chin and heart. There is no heavyweight that has competed in the last 6 years that could beat Ibeabuchi. Remember how Klitschko was the heir apparent until he lost to Sanders? Well, Ike was dubbed the man to beat Lewis when he was a god damn prospect.

For what it's worth, I think Ike would have knocked Bowe TFO.

Ike outslugged Tua. I think you guys have the wrong idea or haven't seen this fight because you act like Ike took a beating at Tua's hands. Ike chose to slug with him, which is amazing because no one had ever done that with Tua or has successfully done it since. You misunderstand completely. Ike would have won easier if he didn't slug but he got himself into a war and he still one. Can you name any other fighters that could have done that at heavyweight? Foreman maybe...you guys are being really blind and I think it's just because Ike is a criminal.
I cant believe your even bringing up the holyfield that fought byrd. that holyfield couldnt even put a combination together as was a shadow of himself,,plus styles make fights. you guys act like ike fought tua's fight which is bs. thats just the way ike fights. he didnt have a good jab so he just fights on the inside toe to toe. that would be his problem if he ever made it to the prime lewis's... bowe's etc...guys that had strong enough jabs to keep you on the outside. ike was a very good prospect but would have had trouble with good boxers with power. a win over little byrd and a very one dimensional tua doesnt make him a likely future champion

I dislike rapists. Call me crazy.

But it has nothing to do with what I feel about him as a fighter. He was a guy with a good chin and powerful, looping punches. Very similar to Tua, which is why their fight was so good. Would he beat Bowe? Yeah, if he fought him in 98. LOL But in 92-94? Nah, no way. And Lennox would've handled him, and Vitali as well. Even Byrd probably would've beat him in a rematch....Byrd beats Ike 7-8 times out of 10.

That's an absurd statement....considering how easily Ike handled Byrd.

Ike handled Byrd easier than Wlad did the first time. bet you didn't pick Byrd to beat Wlad in the rematch, did you ?

Ike Ibeabuchi by death. I'm disgusted by anybody that thinks Vitali would stand a chance.

He didn't get screwed against Lewis, his eye was ripped the **** open by a shot, untrained Lewis. Ibeabuchi in his prime stood toe to toe with a prime David Tua and steam rolled a prime Chris Byrd in devastating fashion. The man was a beast, damn shame he was one in the literal sense.
