Do you guys think he'd just lay against the ropes again waiting for Ike to get tired again? That's what happened in the first fight and Byrd realized the mistake he made and admitted it post-fight. Ike lost every minute they were in the middle of the ring, and won when he had Byrd on the ropes. If Byrd stays off of the ropes, then he wins. He laid on the ropes, I feel he was waiting for Ike to get tired and trying to make him miss with those big punches, but he got caught with one of them. Byrd has the style to beat Ike, but he had the wrong gameplan. It's that simple.

I just don't see ANYTHING in Ike that would've made him a top 5 all-time HW. Sorry, Diego, we just disagree. I saw a powerful, looping puncher with a good chin. That's it. Those guys always have some good wins, and always pick up losses when they fight a guy with a smart gameplan and a good jab.
It sounds like you've got a point!..... But.. Byrd and Ike both fought Tua, But light years apart. Like someone said earlier when Ike fought Tua he was 28 and 0. When Byrd fought Tua he was in the habit of coming in out of shape, and relying on a late KO that he so often found!

ike in his prime would rule the heavy weight divition he and and amazing jab a chin of stone, great endurance, he could take it outside or inside, he a cross breed of hoyfield and lewis. i wish he was just smart enough not to get into trouble with the law. if both fighters where in there prime Ike in 6 too much power and endurance, he had good defence too. Ike all the way!! if any of you have seen him fight, he was amazing!
