They took the girls word man trust me.

    Ike Ibeabuchi's Parole DENIED!

Ike Ibeabuchi the promising Ex heavyweight contender who once Knocked out Chris Byrd is not eligible for Parole. So ruled earlier today the Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners.

Ibeabuchi who is held at Lovelock Correctional Center, Nevada, is serving 5 to a maximum of 30 years for battery with intent to commit crime and attempted sexual assault.

Ibeabuchi will be eligible to apply for parole again in December of 2007.

Which means he will be 35 Years Old then, he can still fight! If a 38 year old Toney can rule the division, Ike can too!

Here's an article that sheds just a touch more light on this genius, rennaisance man, who Parody would have you believe is 100% innocent....

FORMER TITLE CONTENDER: Ex-boxer enters plea in sexual assault case
Nigerian faces five to 30 years in prison for attempted ****

      By GLENN PUIT
      REVIEW-JOURNAL

A Nigerian man once considered one of the world's most promising boxers faces at least five years in prison for the attempted **** of a woman at a Strip hotel.

In the courtroom of District Judge Joseph Bonaventure, former heavyweight title contender Ikemefula "Ike" Ibeabuchi, 28, pleaded guilty Thursday to charges of attempted sexual assault and battery to commit a crime.

Under the terms of the plea, Ibeabuchi faces a sentence of five to 30 years in prison when he is sentenced Dec. 27.

"It's a serious crime, and he needs to pay for it with time," said Clark County Deputy District Attorney Mary Kay Holthus.

Deputy Public Defender Catherine Woolf said Ibeabuchi, who faces pending sexual assault charges in Arizona, maintains his innocence and hopes to resume his once-promising boxing career.

"He has always completely denied these allegations, and he continues to deny them," said Woolf, who worked with Deputy Public Defender Jeff Banks to represent the boxer in court.

Ibeabuchi entered the type of plea that does not admit guilt but concedes the state has enough evidence to prove its case. If convicted of any of the original four charges of sexual assault that he faced, he could have been sentenced to 10 years to life in prison.

"He was afraid if he went to trial, the state could convict him of a much more serious charge," Woolf said.

Thursday's plea ends a 27-month criminal case that started with Ibeabuchi's arrest in 1999, when Las Vegas police received a report of a sexual assault in a room at The Mirage. A then 21-year-old outcall service dancer told police Ibeabuchi ****d her there.

When police arrived, the 6-foot-2, 240-pound boxer had barricaded himself inside the bathroom. Officers sprayed pepper spray under the door to make him surrender.

The arrest ended a seemingly bright future for Ibeabuchi, who had accumulated a fight record of 20 wins, 15 by knockout, with no losses. His most recent victory came against Chris Byrd in 1999.

Byrd is the No. 1 contender for the International Boxing Federation heavyweight belt.

Holthus said also that Ibeabuchi deserves prison time because of his past behavior. He was jailed in Texas for a little more than three months in January 1998.

He pleaded guilty to false imprisonment charges related to an August 1997 incident in which he drove a car at 70 mph into a concrete pillar with a 15-year-old boy as his passenger.

Ibeabuchi was the subject of another sexual assault allegation in 1998. Another outcall dancer said she was sexually assaulted while performing for Ibeabuchi in his room at Treasure Island in December, but no charges were filed.

In August 1998, a similar case was reported to authorities by a dancer in Scottsdale, Ariz. No charges were filed.

In November 1998, a woman employed by an escort service told Gilbert, Ariz., police that Ibeabuchi ****d her while she danced for him, prompting the pending charges.

Woolf said in the Las Vegas case, the victim and two other women were prepared to testify that Ibeabuchi assaulted them.

"I don't think he has a history (of sexual assault)," Woolf said. "What he has is a history of mental illness."

She said that Ibeabuchi has spent months at a state mental health facility while awaiting trial and that he has been diagnosed as suffering from "bipolar and schizo-effective disorders."

At his sentencing, Ibeabuchi is expected to be given credit for the 27 months he has spent in custody.

Ibeabuchi was hitting Byrd with vicious shots...i saw that fight and i think this guy could beat Vitali.

Ibeabuchi by TKO in 9th Round.

I saw his fight with tua and it was very very close and tua has been beaten much easier so I think ike is a bit overrated although he was a very good fighter. he probably would have had trouble with vits awckward style and height advantage. I think vit would keep him at a distance and win a decision. I think a prime lewis would have also out boxed him and possibly stopped him late. thats an in shape lewis. the rest of the guys I think Ike would beat

I'd have to give the edge to Ibeabuchi. Vitali was a tough S.O.B. it's true; but Ike was no push-over and any man who could have gone toe to toe with Tua and last the distance...and win, has my respect.

Now, that being said, the fact is we really only saw a glimplse of Ike's potential and he also exited the game before we saw any weaknesses.....that's not the same as saying he had none; it's saying we didn't see any.

Unless you count him going crazy, hearing voices, and raping a **********. Boxing is 90% mental, which means sooner or later Ike would have met his match in the ring. No man playing with a deck that's missing a suit or two will last in boxing. And given that Vitali has a doctorate and has proven his mental toughness, with the exception of the Chris Byrd fight, he very well could have beaten Ike.

Going on what we saw of both, I'd favour Ike; but give Vitali better than an average chance of making him quit or get dqed. If Vitali won, it would be a TKO with either a retirement or a refusal to continue, IMO. Ike wasn't mentally sound and that's always a huge minus.

lol,,,big surprise how the klit haters feel ike would destroy a guy who's never been down in his career with no backup at all. what a joke,,,ike got his name off beating a little chris byrd and one dimensional tua in a fight that should have been a draw at best. he's beaten no one else of note. vit uses his reach and keeps ike at a distance and wins a comfortable decision. hell tua almost did it

                Defending Ibeabuchi is strange.

An exciting styles make fight with a prime David Tua and a beatdown of Chris Byrd....and all of a sudden he's the greatest heavyweight of all time.

Sure he had a prospect future, but he beat up and ****d a woman, and he's overrated. This points back to that everyone relating to the seedier type of personality.

PPV status = Increased when you **** a female.

It's just peoples perception of how good he was, or how good he could have been. he can just as easily be underrated as he can overrated, because theres no right or wrong answer, it's just opinion. I think he showed a lot of what he was made of in those 2 fights to give us some sort of basis for opinion.

lmao. this is a joke right? tua is a one dimensional fighter who gave ike all kinds of trouble. most people felt that fight was a draw. the only named fighter ike clearly beat was byrd and we all know how byrd does against big strong fighters with some skill. lewis and vit would have kept ike at a distance and picked him apart

Oh give me a break. If you don't think Ike Ibeabuchi had the tools to be one of the top 5-7 heavyweights ever, you're either blind or don't know **** about boxing. HE OUTSLUGGED TUA AND STOPPED BYRD EARLY in 1998 and 1999 respectively. What else did he have to do, outjab Lewis? Take more flush shots than Tua? Run faster than Cory Spinks?!?! Ibeabuchi was amazing and on his way to being one of the best that ever did it.
