Remind me again who was the best fighter that Kneeguel broke in half?
Carlos Quintana was one of them. You know him. That guy that outboxed Paul comprehensively to a decision when he was this monster at WW Give me a break.

A WW Paul Williams was something, man. He was non stop action, and really could pump out that jab when he wanted. I wish he'd have gotten the fights at WW. That was his best weight class, for sure.

im not sure about breaking in half, probably quintana, the same quintana that beat williams..

Cotto had alot of top level wins vs judah, mosley, undefeated pauli, clottey, undefeated torres, undefeated maussa, undefeated pinto,, alot of solid wins on cotto's resume, he never quite reached floyd or manny type stardom, but he was very close, and cotto is one of my favorites because he basically took on all comers...
The dude has floyd, manny, margs, shane, judah, pauli, mayorga, all on his resume and is about to add serg amrtinez,,
Not a bad career at all, plus he is about the only guy that could headline a ppv without floyd or manny involved

but yeah, i dont think he would break williams in half, i actually think it looks alot like trout-cotto, but with williams being much more aggressive and hittable than trout, but his size and punch volume would eventually overwhelm kneegul as you like to call him lol

reading comments on here sometimes, you'd think paul williams was the GOAT who beat sugar ray robinson, ray leonard, and floyd mayweather in one night with one arm tied behind his back and blindfolded.

Can you not cherry pick if you're passed your prime or avoid fights?

If that's the case then Mayweather isn't cherry picking Khan like your OP states because he's well removed from his prime.
Riiight, because Floyd has been stopped brutally and nursing a loong layoff before this potential pfp king hit matchup with the ever tough, ever dangerous Khan. But talk about my comparo's.

Williams would overwhelm him? He didn't stop elite fighters ever. No way in hell he stops Cotto.

A guy who Paul rematched immediately and KO'd within a round? You really think Cotto would give him the same treatment he gave Quintana? You are delusional. Let's not forget that Williams beat a prime margs while Cotto took a knee and cried.

Margs hadn't stopped an elite fighter, yet he made kneeguel take the vow. Also Cotto has never broke an elite fighter in half yet he does that to a prime Williams?

I didnt say he would stop him,,, just overwhelm him and take a decision, much like trout did,,,

remember williams beat margs, while cotto took a knee and quit,,

So yes i think williams at welter as a great chance to overwhelm the smaller cotto.

                      Right.

But passed prime none the less, no? And well passed it at that.

Are you eligible to avoid fights when you're passed your prime? Or not?

Because Williams clearly avoided the Lara rematch but that doesn't count does it? Because he was passed his prime?
