You did make the statment "The Punisher ducked no man" in the OP, you should edit that to "Prime Punisher" so this confusion doesn't arise.
And if Prime and passed Prime hold different standards in regards to cherry picking and avoiding fights then again, you should take Mayweather out the OP because he's not in his prime so it's not really a fair comparison.
And I never compared ducking Lara to fighting Amir Khan. Everythings a comparison with youI just said that if fighters can't avoid fighters or cherry pick fights when they're passed their prime or it doesn't count when they're passed their prime then Floyd's cherry pick of Khan shouldn't count much like Williams avoiding Lara doesn't count.

Prime or not, he won a disputed decision against Lara and said he had no reason to fight him again, that shows he needed a reason to fight somebody, he needed to have something to gain, which is different from this 'he fought all comers' image you're trying to paint.
As a side note, Floyd won a disputed decision against Castillo and gave him an immediate rematch to erase all doubts. This is the man you're dissing in your OP.
On a side not still comparing prime to past prime huh??

I think it would be a hell of a fight,, I just think that cotto would not like the pressure that paul would bring,,,
the times i have seen cotto struggle has been against pressure type guys like torres, margs, mayorga, clottey,,
Cotto likes to box, setup his shots and unload when guys are against the ropes like he did delvin..
but with williams, cotto would be forced to fight every second of the fight, and in fights like that he doesnt perform as well, and i can see williams stealing alot of rounds due to workrate just like how it got him past serg and lara,, the judges loved paul for whatever reason..
In the middle of the ring williams would charge into cotto, and i have never seen anyone push paul backwards long enough to trap him on the ropes, and that is exactly cotto's method..
I just think williams come forward relentless assault would take cotto out of his comfort zone, and allow paul to steal some rounds, because cotto is never going to be able to push him back and trap him against the ropes to setup his body shots,,,,
I think it would be a classic battle, i just gotta give paul a slight edge and a win via close decision
Cotto's jab and underrated footwork would also give Williams problems, similar to how Quintana troubled him. Williams could punch when he sat down on his shots, but like you say, he rarely did that and mostly aimed to score with his shots rather than hurt his opponent. Cotto wouldn't have to be as gun shy against a guy with less power and would be firing back.
Williams isn't a easy night in the ring for anyone, but I think Cotto is a level or two above him and it would show on fight night.
