It's times like these I miss a prime Punisher.

With rumors swirling about pitting Khan against Floyd and Ward desperately seeking a worthless Chavez jr fight, I find myself seriously missing my bwoy the Punisher. Win lose or draw, the Punisher ducked no man and when he won, he looked for the next mountain to climb.

Tis sad times for me now. Where will the next Paul Williams come from. I cannot wait.

Ironic that Lara inherited his niche in boxing but 154 would be so much more fun with him in it.

Paul Williams was never in Floyd Mayweather or Andre Ward's position.

If he was, he'd probably be doing the exact same thing.

Williams was must see TV. With all the Floyd/Pac BS going on he was a breath of fresh air on HBO. I was ecstatic when he stepped up and beat Margaritio, the bogeyman of the division. That should of led to bigger and better things but politics killed his opportunities. I was glad to see him land the Canelo fight.

Williams vs Canelo was a done deal too. I was ready to buy a ticket and go live. It was really a fight I wanted to see.

Pretty much. It's different when you're fighting 3 times a year for $150,000 each time as opposed to once or twice a year at over a million dollars a time.

This myth that every WW ducked Paul Williams needs to die too. He was a good fighter, but he gets more credit than I think he would've based on how he had to leave the sport IMO.

On that, I hope "The Punisher" is doing well and hasn't given up on walking again. Based on his heart in the ring, he's working at it everyday.
