I was disappointed by the Povetkin fight too, but don't forget to blame Povetkin also. He had no plan B. Wlad tried to KO him, and almost had him a few times. It was an ugly fight, but you cannot judge the man from one fight. I think he will come back strong and regain the fans' confidence.

Blame the man who came to fight. Makes sense.

With regards to the bold, the problem is that it is not just one fight. Wlad is never exciting. He was mildly exciting vs Wach who was just a human punching bag, and moderatly exciting vs Peter in their second fight.

In all other fights he's holding, clinching, grabbing, jabbing and throws zero body shots. I'm not saying zero as in 'he didn't throw that many body shots' I mean he threw literally ZERO body shots. And it is certainly not the first time that's happened. Also happened vs Haye.

This guy is very effective at what he does when the ref lets him lean his 245 pound weight on opponents who are 4-5 inches shorter and weighs much less.

No one should defend anything Wlad did in that fight, it was truly the most awful world title fight i've ever seen. Bare in mind, I have sat through my fair share of Hopkins fights.

Anything to add on topic, regarding his ATG status and losses? Welcome back, btw. I'd like to kick you in the nuts.

If you read my previous post, you'd understand how I feel about it.

Don't expect anything else from a person who can't argue his points. Turning to insults in adversity - true fanboy style. Thumbs up.

If wlad was undefeated I think people would put him as one of the top 10 heavyweights of all time regardless of the general poor level of opposition in the heavyweight division.

the fact that the judgement on Wlad is not based on one stinker, it is based on countless. And it's pretty interesting coming from a guy who still judges Haye on a single fight, but won't judge Wlad on a single fight because it doesn't suit his agenda.

Well Wlad didn't wear t-shirts with Povetkin's torn off head and claim he would save the HW division while doing so. Shows how limited you are in a discussion when you have to include your poster boy in your argument once again.
