And I've read plenty that scored it for Sergio too. That wasn't the robbery it was made out to be. It was a close fight that could have gone either way.

It's always a "top 10 MW" which really doesn't mean anything. It's never the best available opponent.

Wasn't Chavez Jr. ranked 2 at MW going into their fight with Strum at 1? I feel like that's what they were ranked. Was Junior ranked too high? Probably, but he took on the highest available MW and fought another top 10 contender coming off an injury.

it was a robbery because the wrong guy lost..MANY argentinians including a popular argentinian sports news channel admitted martinez didn't DESERVE to win...murray was even robbed of a second knockdown too..c'mon hometown boy not losing..martin murray is the real wbc and ring champ..

thats why ggg should stop chasing the fake champ and go after murray....martinez is not going to leave argentina anymore..he most likely will fight a couple of more safe fights in argentina and then retire..maybe he might cash out with a cotto fight..

Murray won that fight. That knockdown that wasn't called was actually disgraceful.

From the statements I read from Martinez and his team, I'm 100% sure he won't return with a Damian Jonak type of opponent. I think the "worst" it'll end up being is a Darren Barker rematch. The only way Damian Jonak is acceptable is if it's off HBO and he fights at least 3 times this year.

All signs are pointing towards a Cotto fight though.

Murray shouldn't have given Sergio the championship rounds. He wasn't far enough ahead that he could afford to give those rounds up.

The KD should have been called though, which would have won him the fight. It's the Bradley-Provodnikov thing though, you can't score the rounds the way the ref should have called them.

You really think Chavez Jr was a better opponent than Pirog or Golovkin? Come on now. I understand him taking the Chavez fight for the money but he fights the likes of Murray, Macklin and Barker whilst saying no one knows who Pirog/GGG are lol

The KD wouldn't have mattered. Martinez would have still won by 1 point on the scorecards.

Yeah you can. That's like saying you can score rounds the way the judges should have called them. We have the ability to see what actually happened.

Sergio got pretty comprehensively outboxed in that fight anyway, it wasn't just the KD.
