I'll comment after Sergio's next fight. A prime Sergio which we saw against Pavlik, Williams, Barker, Macklin and Chavez, that version would beat GGG on points. A close but clear UD.

Now we just can't be sure.

Chin, Ribs, liver...Even if Maravilla's spent the last six months building a time machine, I'd still bet against him - (and I'm a big Maravilla fan) Segios bewildering mobility and lightening fast sallies would eventually be neutralised by GGGs ability to shut down the ring IMO. Sergio would be left nowhere to go but through GGG, and for all his heart, that's a battle he could never have won.

The battle worn warrior that will be 2014 Maravilla however, will not go past 5 with Golovkin.

If (and it's far from certain) Martinez fights Jonak, the purpose will be to see what Martinez has left in the tank, and future fights will be picked accordingly I'm guessing. My main hope is that HBO have promised Maravilla a big pay-day for a send off 'gainst GGG. The Janek fight, should it materialise. will determine what happens between now and then IMO, 'cos Maravilla can't afford to lose the lineal if he wants a GGG cashout.
