Fights weren't similar at all. Defence is one of the scoring criteria. Another is clean punching and Murray dominated Sergio in that area too

Goddamn .... you're right! Jonak is the worthy MW Lineal champ after all!

Do you think he has the makings of an ATG as well?

The early rounds of Martinez-Murray weren't too far off. Clean punching is a criteria. He did not dominate that stat for 12 rounds. Murray put a lot of his work in during those middle rounds.

Who? Go ahead and mention them. GGG hype is recent. Quillen? He wasnt on the radar. Beating Winky did nothing to his career. Dont start spitting out names to try to make a pint. People were hyping is Pirog with one win. A win that is nothing yet cause no one knows how good Jacob is or can be. At the moment Sergio fahced the competition you want to diss now, they were highly ranked in the division. Go and do your homework. Your trolling on non brits fighters is ******.

unless martinez plans to fight off hbo, this fight isn't happening. i really hope it's cotto or a murray rematch. i think everyone else is booked, vera might be fighting chavez jr. rubio and lee are supposedly looking to fight each other. barker/sturm is happening from what i remember reading about. not sure about golovkin, but i can see him on hbo fighting someone like mora or geale. maybe vera as well if the chavez rematch doesn't happen. can't wait to see maravilla back in action, hopefully he's able to overcome his injuries and get back into top shape. that golovkin showdown is the last thing that needs to be scratched off in his career (unless mayweather gives him a shot at 154 which i don't see happening).

Why is Sergio ducking Golovkin right now???

Sergio fans, you can't claim a guy 2 weight classes smaller than him is ducking him, all the while he's not even fighting the top challenges in his own weight class.

I'm not a Sergio fan at all, most would probably say I'm a hater, but I'll give him this fight. He's been hurt, okay he gets this one comeback. If he doesn't get hurt again yet still somehow doesn't fight Golovkin, it's bull****. There is no excuse whatsoever after his next fight except inability to fight or a loss.

                    I knew this would happen.

Sergio Martinez is the biggest piece of chicken shit walking the planet. He saw Chavez beat the absolute hell out of Vera and was so shaken at the demolition, he demanded Lou Di Bella get on a plane and find the finest East-European goatfarmer in all the land. Di Bella, being the hypocritical coward that he is, complied and found the goatfarmer to beat all goatfarmers.

You don't think Darren Barker was top 10 at the time? Come on.

Even if he wasn't at the time, he has since gone on to prove all his doubters wrong and beaten the best titlist not named Golovkin. Sometimes champions catch challengers on the way up. Barker was a good fighter on the way up, just not good enough for Martinez. Who else should Martinez have fought since 08/09? He's fought everybody that has mattered in that span of time.

The GGG craze only started last year, his only been on HBO what...12 months? 3 or 4 fights? How many of them have been against world ranked middleweights? Macklin, who else? At a stretch Proksa, AT S STRETCH.

How people can claim Martinez is ducking GGG is a joke, Martinez has been out injured while GGG has been on the rise, the fight could not have happened when Martinez fought Murray, simply because Murray deserved it more. In my opinion Murray had beaten Sturm, better than any name on GGG's resume, until Golov finally got in the ring with Macklin.

How anyone can deny Martinez his place as THE man at 160 is beyond me.
