Vitali's mythical poor resume pt 2
Collapse
-
Ring made the decision to crown off a 1-3 fight and almost no one but Ring recognized that fight as reestablishing lineage. Sanders was the first Ring rated at the time he fought them win of Vit's career. It was preposterous. He was 'the man' here though.

So I guess Wardkke will have to revise.Comment

Oh yeah, me and you are generally on the same page.I completely agree that he was robbed against Helenius. That doesn't change the fact that he was NOT ranked in the top 10 by ring magazine at the time of the fight which I showed in the link I sent a couple of posts ago.
Vitali has beaten 6 top 10 fighters in his 47 career.Comment

Whether Vitali being Ring champion in a preposterous way (which obviously isn't the first time such a thing has happened (RJJ-DM)), he was still the no. 1 ranked HW.Comment

Hyde and Johnson were not rated by ring when Vit fought them if memory serves.Vitali's resume is not weak by any stretch. He may not have fought other all time greats or HOF'rs aside from Lewis but it doesn't matter because they were washed up by the time he was reaching his pinacle. That's what these morons don't want to understand. A win over ancient Tyson and Holyfield would have been possible but what is the point?
Top ten Ring opponents:
In case anyone was wondering.
1)Hide
2)Byrd
3)Kirk Johnson
4)Lewis
5)Sanders
6)Williams
7)Peter
8)Gomez
9)Arreola
10)Solis
11)Adamek
12)ChisoraComment

For a cup of coffee. I like Vitali and he will go the HOF, but his career is lacking. Not all his fault. He got held in Europe way too much early while he killed time looking for a mando.Comment

I said he beat a top ten rated heavyweights. I can't recall when Chisora was in the top ten but he has been at one point.Oh and btw, here's your proof you damn turd:
ww.ring tv.crave online.com/blog/171489-ring-ratings-update-fighters-moving-up-in-weight-hold-their-positions
"UP NEXT
Rated fighters in action this coming weekend (with current ratings)
Heavyweight: Vitali Klitschko (No. 1) vs. Dereck Chisora (Saturday); Chris Arreola (No. 9) vs. Eric Molina (Saturday)"
Now, that said, back to where we were. Prove that those fighters were never in the top ten.
Not only that, you and I both know there's not ten heavyweights out there that can beat Chisora right now anyways.
This debate is pointless for you. You're just plain ignorant.Comment

If you weren't such a total moron you'd realize you can check past contenders accomplishments against those of today and that its not a h2h comparison. It's about who they fought before and after their championship attempts.Comment

The Ring ratings aren't gospel though, although I do respect their rankings most of the time.
They completely ignored the LHW lineage created by Henry Maske v Virgil Hill, eventually won by Darius Michelzewski. And awarded their belt to Roy Jones without him having to face Michelzewski.
If it wasn't for Erdie's inactivity, Edwin Rodriguez (Ward's next opponent) would actually be the lineal LHW champ.
