You included Morales for Garcia but not Jose Luis Castillo for Hatton. Id say they were pretty similar wins.

The Tszyu win pretty much tops anything Danny has done so far.

hattons win over Kostya Tszyu in no way shape or form is better then lucas matthysse.

that was Tszyus last fight........after hatton he didn't fight anymore & he was riddled with injuries. the guy was flat out done..........

shameful to compare that version of Kostya Tszyu to matthysse.

It's close, for now maybe Hatton has still an edge, but not for long in my opinion.
Keep in mind that Garcia is 25-26.

Apart from a past prime Tszyu, Hatton's resume is not so much better.

Malignacci was an ok win at the time (only 1 loss to Cotto), though Khan did beat a less relevant but similar version of Paulie, who was 28 y.o. for Hatton, 30 for Khan.

Urango was booed by his own fans in the Ben Rabah fight, just prior to Hatton. He was undefeated at the time, but then he went on to lose to Berto.

That right there confirmed to me that you weren't around at the time and you just wiki'd or boxrec'd him.

The only that's shameful is your recognition of events.

Garcia's beaten Lucas, Judah, Khan, and Morales.

Morales was past prime but still Top 10 at 140 coming off giving Maidana hell and stopping Cano. Judah is Judah, will always just be a decent win at best, but decent still. Khan was one of the Top 2-3 guys at 140, and Danny was a huge underdog going in. And Lucas was the man at 140 along with Garcia.

Tszyu was the man at 140, but was past prime, still a huge win. Maussa was decent given he'd just beaten Harris, but Maussa is no better than decent win at best. Paulie was a solid win over a Top 10 140 fighter. Collazo was another solid win over a Top 10 147 fighter, but he arguably lost this as well, it was close.

                    So it's really pretty close.

Danny Garcia is certainly Top 10 P4P now though.
I'm not disagreeing he did. Danny definitely handed Matthysse his first legitimate loss, and that win of Danny's, along with Amir Khan, is the closest he comes to matching Hatton's win over Tszuy - But Tszuy was still way more established and a bigger favorite to win over Hatton than Matthysse was against Garcia. After all, Matthysse wasn't champion, Danny was.

Look, Morales was not just past prime, he was finished. Both times they fought. They fought 6 YEARS after Manny beat Morales - and he was already terrible then. So let's not go there. All you have to do is look at him at the weigh in.

Khan was THE man at 140 imo, and probably Garcia's best win. I know he came of that robbery against Peterson, but was, as you say, a huge favorite to win. Judah is Judah, yes. Solid win at the time, nothing more. He wasn't expected to be given a tough fight by Judah anyway.

Hatton obviously was way further into his career when he started beating the likes of Urango, Paulie, Collazo, Castillo - even Tszuy perhaps, than Garcia is now. So it would be unfair to compare their resume's as Ricky is retired and had 45+ fights and Danny is still relatively up and coming. He's still coming into his prime - but definitely has some good wins.

He'll probably end up having a better resume, but not as it stands now.

                      I think it is

                      Hattons resume is very poor

Tszyu who while a great fighter WAS at the tail end of his career giving up all the advantages, still a solid B+ win

                      Then whos next?

                      Paulie? Urango?
