Cotto getting Floyd in the ring was the only way to beat him. Apparently Cotto lived to far away. Got darn had only Cotto lived in the UK we would have a fight.

Williams fought Margarito and was kinda avoided elsewhere.

Mayweather fought Baldimor, Judah and Hatton
mosley and cotto refused to fight floyd. the only reason he fought Baldo was because he beat zab for the lineal title. EVERY single poster on NSB would fight Baldo knowing a win would get you the lineal ww title and a shot at ODH.

You word it as if Floyd had planned to fight Baldomir all along.

Guerrero, Ortiz, Mosley, Baldomir, Judah, Mitchell. The only 6 WW's Floyd has ever fought that were ranked at WW going into the fight.

EDIT: Maybe Hatton did too, from his gift over Collazo, but it was pretty obvious this was not his best weight.

          It really wasn't.

The Clottey fight was one which could've gone either way. I personally scored it for Clottey.

The Mosley fight was competitive to an extent but Cotto was the clear winner.

I said it proved nothing to relate to Floyd Mayweather's chance in fight with Cotto since they fight Clottey and Floyd fight nothing alike. Quintana to Gomez was his prime IMO.

PAC had to moved up to welterweight and do Floyd dirty work for him, that's how chicken Floyd was.

i saw it as a one point lead for cotto.........the judges in new york (surrounded by fans rooting for cotto) saw it only 2 points for cotto..........and to some degree they would have been influenced by the crowed shouting and screaming for miguel. a lot of boxing fans and experts called that fight a draw if you can remember.........

                razor close........

this was prime 147 cotto.........(unless his prime begin before the mosley fight)

I was responding to a guy who claimed that welterweights weren't fighting each other. They were all fighting each other whilst Floyd retired off the back of those 3 rather underwhelming victories.

I think at any other time the fight would have been more of a white wash thus that was the best Cotto could have ever done period he gave a reasonably good performance and at no other point in their careers would it have been any closer

yes..its quite clear that Floyd's mantra is Bling over the Ring. Kinda fed up with money being the end all excuse.

and please...lets not pretend that the lineal title was the ONLY reason ODH v Floyd happened.
