Rigondeaux is right. He is being disrespected by Arum. It is reprehensible for a promoter to make the type of public comments about one of their fighters that Arum has made about Rigondeaux, especially after the fighter has secured the biggest victory of his career. If my wife made these type of public comments about me, I would divorce her in a New York minute. If my supervisor or employer made these type of comments about me, I would either quit or get fired after I went medieval on his a$$.

The truth is Arum doesn't want to promote Rigondeaux, especially after Rigondeaux exposed Arum's second favorite fighter, but he doesn't want to let him go because he knows Rigondeaux would immediately sign with GBP. It would be in Rigondeaux's best interest to demand that Arum either void his contract or get him the fights called for in the contract until the contract expires. Once the contract expires, he can sign with GBP and get the proper exposure.

rigo beat ducknaire , who weighed 142 pounds and rigo 122 . he took him to school , ducknaire being taller and stronger and the "4 pp ". this was fun , this was boxing 101. if rigo fights real 122 , there will be plenty of tkos . he already got 8 tkoes ou of 12 fights .

GBP did the same thing with Lara, same putdowns after Angulo. And unlike Rigo, they never let him near the guy he really wants, Canelo.

Besides GBP can't or wouldn't want to meet Rigo's minumum purse. Even Mares doesn't get near Rigo's minimum, much less what he last made

Props to Rigondeaux. Their treatment of him is disgusting.

He gave Rigo his biggest payday and he stunk the place out. Everyone started booing even tho I thought it was a close competitive fight.

WBA, RING, IBF, IBO, and WBO need to wake up: what Bob is saying is "I don't care that a fighter has your titles, if he's not 'exciting' he's not fighting - meaning you don't get your title fees."

Obviously Bob's priorities are excitability/marketability > then alphabet titles. In a warped way he and I agree, but Rigo is obviously in the #1 spot, why is the #1 guy not getting fights?

When it comes to big TV showcasing, the networks care about the entertainment aspect, and lets face it, he's boring. At least guys like Hopkins, and Mayweather, who may not have the most exciting styles can talk a good game. Rigo doesn't even have that, and he takes zero risks in the ring which produces bad fights.

That doesn't make it necessarily right, but its the truth.
He is not exciting to people who want boxers to fight like MMA fighters, but that is a very small contingent of real boxing fans. Regardless, how he fights is not the point. The point is his promoter is disrespecting him and treating him like trash. All Arum had to do to get Rigondeaux a fight on HBO was to tell them if they wanted to broadcast the next Manny Pacquaio or Marquez fight, they had to allow Rigondeaux to appear on the undercard and pay him a decent fee. HBO would have agreed...albeit reluctantly. Instead, Arum has done nothing but take cheap shots at him because Rigondeaux exposed his new cash cow.

If you had a child, that child may be dumb as a box of rocks or as ugly as an ape, but you wouldn't say that to other people, even though it is the truth (at least I hope you wouldn't). The same principle applies here.

Most fans are unaware of the disparity in weight. Rigo schooled a guy north of the junior welterweight limit that night. Guillermo is tiny compared to many of the guys he's fought. "El Chacal" will beat anyone at 118 or 122, anyone.
