aside from all he rules/regs stated, watch it, as I did, several times....it was a blow to the BACK of the head, NOT around the back & he was up as the ref said 9, there was no ten called & the wave was not a "substitute" for 10. Most refs count 10 then use the wave 2 signify over...
I also have wondered how legit the knockdown was itself. It honestly was hard to tell from what I watched.
This article is f***ing nonsense. 9 and out??? Over THERE???? Oh really? And what about in China? Is it 6 and out? The ref NEVER counted to 10 and the guy was on his feet! Absolute bullsht and propaganda wants people to accept bullsht.
I cant believe someone wrote so much crap over this...
but i guess he got paid.Look, the fix was in,it still happens in boxing,
Scott got paid to hype Chiz..end of story. Scott should have been goin nuts if it were real
If someone wanted to argue that Chisora was coming on, was being more physical, and looked to be gaining control of the fight then I wouldn't disagree.
But 10 means 10. What is so hard to understand about that?
Chisora should have been giving the chance to beat his man fair and square. Without any taint on his victory.
Kevin Iole was fanning the flames. He implied the fight was fixed and it turned into a top story on Yahoo US with over 1000 comments. I doubt many of those people even saw the fight but they jumped on the Iole band wagon to cry fix. Something needs to be done about that guy.
Something stinks just because the guy didn't seem too upset to be counted out. However, it would be even more criminal to have to watch these 2 go at it again. Lousy show, farcical end. Imagine how livid the UK commentators would be if Amir Khan got counted out like that!

You need to watch it again. I've watched it several times in slow motion. It was a clearly legal blow to the side of the head. Even Scott admitted it, who also accepted the defeat. It's in line with the general beating Chisora was giving Scott.
Its fascinating to see people rave on and on about this. Of all things to be outraged about, this isn't a decision victory where the clear winner got a draw or loss, this is a ko where the loser was being beaten and worn down, then effing KNOCKED DOWN and stayed down, indisputably until for 9 seconds, debate coming whether it was 10. You're really going to be outraged when Scott himself knew he was beaten? Its nuts. And any lawyer could tell you, the ref's action is defensible under any number of theories. For one, any British bout, no matter the sanctioning body, falls under the jurisdiction of BBBoC, which rules it is clearly in line with. Especially when they can be read in reconciliation with WBO, as would be possible here. Assailable too, perhaps, but I can guarantee it will never be overturned, its too defensible. Some people just aren't happy unless they have something they can get outraged over. You know an easy way this all could have been avoided? Come on people, say it with me: GET UP NO LATER THAN 8, like any half decent boxer will do when he's in control of his senses. I was cheering for Thompson in the Price fight, and glad he won, but frankly thought he was lucky the ref didn't count him out in that fight too.

Agree, Iole's been a moron at Yahoo for years. They need to get someone better.
