This is the problem the refs are way too ****ing triggerhappy to stop the fight. It really is insane. For ****** **** like this and for even ******er stuff like that Molina-Kirkland fight.

I liked that article earlier about reform to reffing and having video reviews. Let the refs review these type of things to correct their mistake, and let them review footage in between rounds to make a call on point deductions

The person who wrote this article is a moron, going off "theory" instead of the actual Rules which state absolutely nothing about 9 and out. His article says "in most cases".

He was not classed as down under Brit rules either

EXACTLY! Why are so many people missing these points? They sound like the people that would say to a freshly ****d woman " well, your skirt was too short, you shouldn't have led him on."

I wasn't saying it wasn't legit it was just hard to see it clearly. I also only watched the very end of the fight and I have not seen the post fight press conference. But either way the stoppage was a little to quick in my opinion.

You're arguing a moot point, if he said 10 instead of waving he still loses. 10 or wave is still signalling the end of the count. Never been a problem and has been done for years and will carry on being done by referees all over the world. The final signal (10 or wave) isn't the issue either it's the "rush" to finish the count that people see as the problem.

          (d) when a Boxer is in the act of rising and in all of the above cases, a Boxer shall be considered to be down until he has regained his feet within the boxing ring and is in a position and a condition to defend himself’.

Scott wasn't in a position to defend himself, so yes he was still down under "Brit rules".

He was up before the count of 10, and in a position or condition to defend himself. Clear headed, steady legs, no issues. Even a ref determined to exercise bias would have to cut corners to "count him out".

This kind of stuff happens in fights like Jones Lebedev, where the ref is saving the fighter from himself. That's laughable in this case, it was 100% safe for Scott to proceed.

He was still rising when it was waved, how is that a position to defend himself?

That's because it was called too early. What you're trying to tell me now is that he didn't beat the count. GTFO, again

He didn't that's the whole argument, people thinking the ref rushed the count to stop the fight.
