been hearing this for the last 2 weeks or so...Sign the ***in Fight already and I hope it is on the Mayweather vs Canelo Card.

That is great exposure for both to a totally different fanbase and a lot of Casual Fans

The only thing hindering it honestly is it being on Showtime rather than HBO. Sho needs work on it's production in my eyes to really pass HBO.
I will agree floyd Oscar was weird that fight didn't seem to be that big I was shocked when the ppv numbers came out. It had some hype but not 2.44 mil buys hype not by a long shot.

Will be sweet ppv undercard if this is on it... Like one of the old don king cards in the 90's.

They need to have a mares fight or ortiz vs some stiff...
Also some of the olypmians fighting someone with a pulse
And but Rosado vs a ****er.....

If they could just make a few 2 of those fights i would be happy as hell

Exactly this fight is bigger being more even; and it was bigger before hand so I give it a hell of a shot to go over 2 mill; anything under 1.6 is a failure in my eyes which is saying something.

Yeah I would say 1.5 mill buys but yes anything under that is a complete and abject failure and Espinoza will be looking for a new job.

Cotto was a much bigger household name. This fight will do 2 mil just like the Guerrero fight was projected at 1.3 mill.
This fight does way better than the Guerrero fight. Canelo in Vegas against Mayweather will challenge previous records especially is GBP does it right and promotes not just this header, but a co-main event between Danny and Lucas, in prime fashion. This will be a huge night for all of boxing--the Business, the athletes, and the fans.

That's probably the reason why they get made in the first place. Fans are relentless. They'll raise hell when things are not going right. Without these kinds of fans the duckers along with their managers and promoters will do whatever they want. Agree?

It's not just the Mexicas that will come out and buy this fight, it will be all Latino/as, including PRs, just to see May and Nelo go at it, let alone an awesome card that may include Matty vs. Swifty. Yikes--this is exciting.

The Guerrero example was just to show that gbs projections have been unrealistic to say the least. Obviously it does more than the Guerrero fight if it didn't showtime would lose like 25+ mill. I think the cotto fight is a good model to base the numbers off of this fight which the cotto fight did 1.5 mil which is a huge huge fight so I think the canelo fight will fair slightly better which is why I put it at 1.6-1.8.
