Against shot fighters is actually what I said.

They were hardly world class at the time. Tito Trinidad was world class at 147 and 154 about 5-10 years before he fought Jones. He had never fought at LHW so how could he be world class at that weight? Lacy was world class at 168 before he got spanked.

More experienced? Stop it. The Kessler that Calzaghe fought was the unified champion and undefeated. Calzaghe beat his ass. There's no way the version Ward fought was better. He fought a couple of bums after he lost to Calzaghe and before Ward. That's not exactly "experience".

Abraham is really a middleweight who doesn't belong at 168. He's not that much better or worse than Lacy. And if we're talking about "versions", the version that Ward fought was coming off comprehensive spankings by both Dirrell and Froch. Lacy was a confident undefeated champion who was knocking most of his opponents out at 168

To be fair though RJJ was near prime when he fought Joe. I wouldn't say prime because that was probably 2 years before but he was still very close to it and Joe beat a still great version of Roy pretty easily at Roy's best weight.
Wow.....i'm at a loss for words. No way is this post serious.

I can agree with you on AA with Lacy..I can't however agree with you with Kessler..Ward dominated Kessler,Joey did not dominate Kessler..I agree with you that coming into the fight,Kessler was most likely more confident against Joey Zag's tho..

He did dominate Kessler, it was competitive for about 4 rounds before Calzaghe just took over. He could've possibly even stopped Kessler (and not with headbutts) if not for the referee.

Tito had fought like 3 times in 7 years or summat daft, going into the Jones fight.

Roy's best wins were in 1993 against Hopkins and 1994 against Toney.

But yeah, his prime was obviously in 2008, in fact he was still prime when he was KO'd a year later against Danny Green, right?

Still, neither win was was as impressive as Trevor Berbick win over Prime Muhammed Ali.

I geniunely believe that the Calzaghe vs Ward resume argument is a close one, however some of the s**t being spouted by the TS is truly laughable. Eubank and Jones Jr being near prime

Calzaghe fought nothing but scrubs. His career is a joke, he is the Welsh Sven Ottke.
