it's a semantic discussion. what does "quit" mean, and did he do it? he's not a coward, obviously. the guy has taken bombs in victory and defeat for years now.

Obviously he quit. Thats a fact. Id have liked him to continue but whatever, its his career on the line. Things like this happen in boxing it's a fighters right to pull out if he feels the pain is too great or his career is on the line but it does annoy me slightly that fighters like Ortiz and Cotto are judged harshly for thier surrenders where as say Izzy Vazquez and Angulo aren't....

Luckily for his own sake he quit but rightfully so. Had he gone on any further we may have seen something extremely gruesome as if it not looked brutal enough already.
