For his very next fight, the big PPV undercard carrying, 3rd division winning effort vs Broner beating PDL. It looks like that huge win not only put him back into Ring top 10 p4p as he deserved, but all the way to #5.

It's all about the matchmaking, boys. If Bob thinks his fighter is going to lose, the last thing he wants to do is give his rival promotional company the chance to have one of their own squash his own fighter while turning their fighter into a superstar. But if Bob thinks his fighter will win (manny vs. oscar, etc) then no problemo!

Yes he worked with Dan Goosen to promote the Baldomir fight. And then his career just went from strength to strength, thing is Arum never thought his profile would get this big because if he did he would never have allowed him and his advisor to write that $750K clause in his contract at that time.

Arum was more into his Latino boxers because of how great the Latino market was, so Mayweather leaving wasn't a big deal to him until he left.

Yeah but I don't get how Mares making less on an undercard, has anything to do with Rigo and Donaire making more on a one card main event?

What was Rigondeaux making on Pacquiao undercards?

Baldomir was pretty much not marketable... He was most likely in a deal with HBO and many was demanding Mayweather fight Baldomir since he was champion.

Arum wasn't serious about that Margarito fight no matter how you slice it... when Margarito fought against the most avoided fighter at the time Paul Williams the purses weren't even close to that size. Arum is a greedy slimeball.. He downs others names, funny though how Mayweather doesn't do that (smart because he knows MFers try to sue).

Ok so Floyd would rather have not extended the contract:

In order to pursue Delahoya and grow his own brand?

and basically work as a freelance boxer working with other promoters.
                Does Mayweather have a license?

I don't know, he's never carried the undercard IIRC. But AFAIK this is Mares' largest published purse, it was 325k (?) for Agbeko, main event. Certainly a far cry from 3m. In fact I bet his career best is a GOOD bit less than 11 fight Rigo.

So if you can somehow rationalize this, 1/8th of that should suffice to answer your question.

Not when you consider the main event was costing them almost 40 million alone, plus distribution.

How much do you think Donaire and Rigo's card cost?

But Floyd was ducking Pac juice the tards would love for people to believe so they just convince themselves of that.

Blobby hates DLH and FLoyd, its that simple as a result he NEVER had plans of putting Pacy in with Floyd whilst Floyd did his best to make the fight. That simple.

                      **** Arum
