How can Floyd cut Arum out if Pac is has a valid contract with him?
This is really simple: when Arum pays Pac, there's no additional cut. Freddie takes his, Koncz, Buboy, all those guys, but he's done with Arum. Pac doesn't mail him a check for 27% of what he just received, that'd be ******ed. When people say Arum rips Pac off, what they mean is, the pot is much bigger than what Pac sees.Comment

Lol people talked like Mayweather would just make and run off with 100M, there would still be a lot of people to pay off, network, TV etc at the end of the day it would be a risk deal where Mayweather could have made a gain or a loss.so if manny was gettting 0% of the ppv revenue, where was the majority of the $40 mill coming from?? clearly some of the net back end revenue was built into this offer
with floyds offer, he would have been the sole promoter, of course he should have received most of the revenue (like arum does when promoting pac)
according to some of you, floyd is supposed to guarantee an enormous purse and front the money for all the expenses (purses, marketing, golden boy, etc.)? while pacquiao assumes no risk??
now if you want to argue that offering a monetary sum while cutting arum out of the promotion was a ridiculous offer, then you have a point ... but $40 mill was FAR from a ****ty deal. its easily the highest guaranteed purse in the history of boxingComment

Pac can't handle the business by himself. That's why he needs Arum and Koncz. He should've left Arum while he was on the rise.Comment

$13-15 million is not "barely more"
the last time floyd offered a percentage split team pac walked away from negotiations ... so i believe he tried to wow him with a large sum, half of which would be wired the next day
thats what happens in negotiations, you make offers and counters ... you dont publicly say things like, "21 days or no fight" or "50/50 or no fight"Comment

It's astounding how many financial experts are in boxing apparently yet most still have no idea how PPV works. Mayweather still has tons to pay off, distributors, his managers, GBP promotions, etc.Comment

You guys keep talking complete nonsense pac makes roughly6 mill after arum etc take there cuts from his pay now he probably would have made 16 out of the 40 once all was said and done in this case that's 10 mill more.
You guys are essentially saying the fact that he will never get that amount now is ok? he should of lost out on his biggest ever payday on principle that he'a worth more?
Really? think about it the fact is Pac has never made $40 mill before full stop and never will make $40 mill.
So everything else like what you think his worth in the fight is become unimportant its like a gambler not being happy with the $100,000 he just won because he can see $1000000 on the table then going home with nothing instead!Comment
