The fight could of generated over 140 million.

Taking 40 million isn't that smart, when you're HALF the reason the event would generate that much.

Just because it's the most he would ever make, doesn't mean he wouldn't be selling himself short.

Floyd's not making 80 million. Distributors take half right off the top.

Floyd is offering 40m to Pac, saying here, split it with Top Rank. It's usually thought Arum's "minimum" is 27%, so 29m for Pac. That's about 12-13% over Pac's regular purse.

When Top Rank promotes a Pac fight, they pay all expenses including Pac purse, then take whatever profits. For either JMM 3 or 4 TR's share was 40 or more, before paying Pac. Per Rafael, Pac's purse was around 26m. So Arum gets his, probably more than 27% in this case, but less than 27% for Bradley.

God damn does Arum take that much?

Why wouldnt Pac just have bought out of his contract 2 years ago, there was a chance he could've but he re-signed.

But the difference is that Mayweather just got the mega deal with Showtime/CBS while Pacquiao is still stuck with Bob Arum who is taking most of his money like most Promoters do, that sucks, hopefully Pacquiao will one day see the light and get away from Arum like Cotto did, Pacquiao fanbase is loyal, they will follow him, he don't even need Arum at this point in his career
You do realise floyd pays alhamon a similar fee dude? also that floyds last ppv flopped with 900k buys? he would not have made much more at all than his guarantee

both guys have lost out, if floyd took the 50-50 for pac, he would have made huge huge money, most likely around 60m gross, so around 40m net, no way will he make that much now

he has to hit around 1.1m ppv buys to get a ppv bonus and remember he still has to pay golden boy a flat fee while hamon takes his cut

people here forget floyd has lost out big as well, how much will he be making now? 32m gross, then he loses 18 percent or whatever to al hamon and pays golden boy a flat fee on top of that!

the guy has to do more than a million ppv to get a bonus, the dudes last fight bombed and now he is going to be making his guarantee only unless he takes the risky fights

didn't he make an additional $13 mil from ppv for the ghost fight? I know you hate floyd but why make up stuff you know isn't true.

More like how dumb Floyd is looking now not taking the 50/50. He could have been the one to KO PAC, got the respect of the fans, and still made over 50millions .

                      Oh we forgot...Floyd: I'm a coward.
