No, the rules are clear. If you want to fight at a certain weight, then you have to weigh-in at or below that weight. There is no abuse, a fighter can either make it or he can't.

You get a lot of fighters who blow up between fights, are they supposed to fight at their blown up weight? come on.

If they are going by the rule book then you are right. But we know its a crappy rule. Like I said before, if they are killing themselves to make weight then that is their problem for not fighting in their natural weight class in the first place. This is why I said it should be same day weigh in and fight so people can't get away with this bs. This is why I respect fighters like Marquez,Manny,Floyd and Martinez because they don't have to pull this weight gain bs.

Matthysse looks pretty good at the weigh in. If you guys remember correctly, Hatton is a fighter who always looked 'not so well at a weigh in, in the ring he always usually came with it.

all i can say is we need same day weigh ins again..........the guy looked like he starved himself for this camp. obviously he's fighting at a weight that his body is no longer comfortable with.


it all started with the reports of him gaining 20 pounds (but that was laughed at & everyone said it was a lie and lucas doesn't have a problem with weight. ignore it)

i think he'll make the weight tonight but i don't know how long he will be able to drain himself down to this weight.
