He has a day to get right so I'm not even worried. People put so much stock into the weigh-ins it's crazy.Comment

No, the rules are clear. If you want to fight at a certain weight, then you have to weigh-in at or below that weight. There is no abuse, a fighter can either make it or he can't.They are abusing the weighing system is what you are not understanding. If a fighter like Canelo for example walks around at 170+ and you take a fighter like Martinez who walks around at about 165+ then what does that tell you? Clearly Canelo is forcing himself to fight at 154 for a clearly obvious reason. Just because he can make the weight on the weigh in it doesn't mean they are not abusing the system. Its allowing fighters to campaign at a weight class that they shouldn't be in to give an size advantage over those who naturally fight at that same respected weight class. That is the issue here. If hes having trouble making weight then that's the price he should pay for abusing how the weigh in system is these days. Like I said, it should be same day weigh in like the old days to stop giving these guys advantages.
Its funny because Donaire wants to complain about him having trouble making weight for his fight with Rigo and trying to imply that it was a reason why he lost. He was clearly bigger then Rigo and so the obvious is obvious why he was fighting in that weight class when he should have been at 130 a good while ago.
You get a lot of fighters who blow up between fights, are they supposed to fight at their blown up weight? come on.Comment

So for the guy (name escapes me) who fainted last week trying to make weight when he could've easily made it one class above ... Why would he put himself throu that kind of torture if he didnt feel it would benefit him once he rehydrated 15+ pounds ?No, the rules are clear. If you want to fight at a certain weight, then you have to weigh-in at or below that weight. There is no abuse, a fighter can either make it or he can't.

You wouldn't consider depriving yourself of food and water for an extended period of time until you pass out abusing your body ?Comment
