This was my point. YOU ARE WRONG. In some cases people are doing major harm to their body and are pushing themselves beyond their limits. Just because a guy " can make it " doesn't mean he isn't abusing his body to do it, sometimes to the point where it affects the outcome of the fight or other times to where the fighter is physically not strong enough to remain conscience and passes out before the weigh in. Don't kid yourself.

If it's affecting the outcome of a fight then he won't stay there long anyway e.g. Chad Dawson.

Telling the likes of Canelo and Matthysse to move out of divisions where they're constantly winning and making good money doesn't make any sense for their career.

If cutting weight was affecting their ability in the ring you'd have a point, but it isn't, so you don't.

I'd pick him against Alexander, Malignaggi, Maidana, Lopez. Not certain on Thurman, Guerrero or Ortiz. We'd really need to see him there.

He is one of my favorites but he needs to be near his best because Peterson is a very good fighter who is getting better all the time. I am rooting for Lucas but I like Peterson as well. It should be a great fight.

What makes you say that? Anyway he's had terrible prep, more power to him if he can pull this out of the bag, a lot of other fighters would have pulled out already.

Look at everyone making excuses for him before the fight. Matthysse is a very good fighter, not the second coming of christ like he is made out to be, but very good. Peterson is very good too, this is an excellent fight.

Terrible prep my ass, if he wasn't ready he could pull out.
