Look at everyone making excuses for him before the fight. Matthysse is a very good fighter, not the second coming of christ like he is made out to be, but very good. Peterson is very good too, this is an excellent fight.

Matthysse doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who pays attention to the finer details of dieting, exercising to stay in decent shape in between training camps.

More of a guy who just likes to FIGHT, and eats crap in between. But someone who aware of his limitations and NEEDS to stay at 140 for as long as he can. He is pretty much stuck in Boxing purgatory. Too small and skill-wise ineffective to be at 147. Yet too ballooned up for 140.

How old is he? 30? He might dodge the bullet on this fight. I could be wrong.

He never rehydrated that much as far as I know. That's why I can't bring myself to believe it. Showtime said that there wasn't any error while Matts said he was actually 153. If it's actually true, that means that LM gained 25lbs in 30 hours.
