GGG has power and skill too plus he is a bigger guy than Floyd so it would be a big test
So your choice for GGG and Matthysse is based solely on their power, because niether has as much skill as bradley and maybe Matts is equal to devon.

I get it, you want to see floyd lose, preferably by KO. Cool. But understand that just because you have power you wont beat floyd nor do you have a better chance. Shane landed that punch because he is fast and has skill-GGG nor matts have that speed or skill.

Has Jr claimed to be the GOAT ??????

Has he done all he can to Back that up ??????

You are right , Floyd didn't make Pac walk into that right hand counter but Floyd spent 3 years avoiding Pac like the plague and true fight fans KNOW THIS !!!!

Therefore it will be shady when he walks into the hall of fame and claim the GOAT when we all know he cherry picked his way there avoiding the threats along the way.

He couldn't carry Rocky Marcianos nor Sugar Ray Leonards jock strap
You wrote that dumb@ss shyt, not me. Now you "when" he walks into the Hall instead "might" and now you're saying when he walks in calling himself the GOAT it will be shady. Be a stand up individual just admit you went too far. If it makes you feel better, its happened to me before too.

To call me a hater when I don't bow down to your fanboy b.s. vision of what he is... that's an absolute fail on your part. But keep thinking whatever. It just shows Floydie leads a bunch of you losers around with his arrogant claims.
I wouldn't go as far as to call him the greatest, that doesn't mean I'd argue with Malignaggi and the Garcia family in believing that he is. You forget that Mayweather put most of his work at SFW, his best win is arguably JLC at LW, I doubt his work north of those divisions will ever exceed his accomplishments at 130, and that's where he'll most likely be remembered for. So when you made the SRL comment, it was hateful, spin it however you want but it was.

Claims of calling himself the greatest ever? If Kermit Cintron called himself the greatest ever I wouldn't care, same goes for Ortiz, Mayweather is within his right to believe that. That's no more blasphemous than Ward saying he's programmed to believe that he can beat a Klitchscko. Must really suck to have comments like that bother you.

Long awaited fight put on stand still due Arum's spitefulness in Floyd leaving Top Rank, and Mayweather who was still owed money for the Gatti fight. I agree that Cotto's run at 154 was not impressive, but the viability of it was there because guess what...Cotto campaigns at 154, on top of c-a-m-p-a-i-g-n-i-n-g at 154, the demand was there, but let me remind you again, Cotto was campaigning at 154, can't say the same for Golovkin, and it's bad enough he doesn't even have a credible win. In case you forgot look at the bolded again, can't be too careful around these forums, lots of ****** people roaming around, ya dig?

            • Mayweather the Easy

Mayweather will fight the easy win opponent every time.

Dude had the belt for damn near 3 years. He fought his first JMW champion.... foh...
Here's a fact check for ya bud. Canelo is in fact a unified jr middleweight champion. Therefore if Floyd were to fight him and beat him, he'd be a 3 time jr middleweight champion except................. wait for it, it would be his 1st time being a unified jr middlweight champion. So yes, in fact Canelo does wonders for his legacy, paatna.

Fans of Floyd Mayweather will cite these numbers as signs of his superiority in the ring and his significance to the sport’s business: 44 wins and zero losses; world titles in five divisions and lineal championships in three weight classes; victories over 18 men who held world titles at the time or had once been titleholders or would later go on to win belts of their own; a minimum payday of $32 million for his last appearance; pay-per-view buy rates coming in at more than 1 million per broadcast; ticket sales that near and often surpass $10 million for a single night.

Those who are not necessarily fans of the fighter but follow him because of his skills and his status will acknowledge all of the above, yet expect even more.

They will point to the odds that showed Mayweather as the clear favorite to vanquish his most recent opponent, Robert Guerrero. They will look at the rankings in the welterweight and junior welterweight divisions, at the potential challengers he could face, and they will write these men off as being unlikely or unable to beat the best boxer in the sport. Should Floyd defend his 154 pound belt or vacate? That IS the question.

                    • Guys are just hell bent on defending Floyd no matter what. It's sad and pathetic. Dude is a former 2x jr mw champion and a legit ATG. No need to make excuse after excuse as to why he can't fight Canelo. I've heard everything from Canelo should come down to ww, fights should have same day weigh ins, rehydration clause, he should be fighting Andre Ward since he's really a smw etc..... All a bunch of bs.
