So mares is chasing rigondeux for the money????? Really cause that fight is gonna make him big time money right????? How about mares wants that fight cause people perceive rigondeux as the best at 122 now. You're A big time floyd fan that's why u can't understand the " hate". He legacy isn't gonna stick with fighting the Alexander's and khans of the world. But he don't give a *****tttt about that. So more power to him
Yes, Mares is chasing Rig for the money. Rig is perceived as the best and Mares recognizes that beating the best is the quickest avenue to reaching the bigger pay days. Name another fighter other than Rig that could lead Mares to bigger pay days. Mayweather isn't in that position anymore, he's the top dog that other fighters chase in search of bigger pay days. It's called prize fighting for a reason man. These guys are fighting for your money, not your respect. Floyd is just the most honest about it.And how was that fight never 50-50?
Mayweather vs Hatton ended in ten. Manny finished him in two. Floyd and Oscar had a competitive fight that was close and manny beat odlh pretty easy. Floyd vs cotto was a close fight and manny killed cotto. Floyd ducked margarito and manny destroyed him. C'mon man I'm not some big manny fan but don't say that fight wasent 50-50 at one time be real.I'm not in his head, if he doesn't say he has a problem with fighting at 154 then I'm not gonna assume he does, especially since he fought there recently and regularly spars with jr middleweights. When fighters don't feel good at a weight, they openly say so. It's not common sense, a fighter can look less than great at a certain weight but say he feels good and he's gonna stay there (Abraham at 168) or a fighter can look great at a weight but claim he doesn't feel good and won't stay there (Pacquiao at 154). Don't assume things and make excuses for fighters.
I have no problem with the Guerrero fight, look at my sig. Now that that's out of the way, I wanna see him against the best opponent he can face. I know I don't always get what I want but I'm not gonna say I don't care about it. My problem is when people like you say "I don't care who he fights next, it's fine with me" how can a true boxing fan say that? I know it's pretty much useless to complain but at least admit that there are certain fights that you want and if you don't get them you'll be disappointed, at least a little bit. You're talking like if you had the power to request certain matchups you wouldn't use it and you'd let Floyd do what he wants because of his track record...
Where's the hate? I obviously don't hate Floyd, quite the opposite. What I hate is this victim mentality of screaming hate everytime your favorite fighter gets criticized. Only thing I said is IF Floyd doesn't fight Canelo I'd be disappointed. What's hateful about that? What do you want me to say? "I have no feeling whatsoever about Floyd's opposition, he could fight Ms Jackson and I'd be cool with it".Comment
