I used to be a HUGE Cotto fan. He burned out after the Margarito/Pacquiao losses, and at this point of his career, he's just fighting for money...there's no glory to what he does anymore.

ALTHOUGH, I do think Canelo is biting off more than he can chew in fighting Cotto. Cotto is a more seasoned and versatile version of Canelo. But, that fight will get boring after round 8 if nobody gets stopped as they both gas out in the later rounds. I actually think Cotto can win a points decision based on the fact that he only flurry's and runs away after the 8th.

      Margarito 2
      Floyd
      Trout
      Canelo

Seems like an attempt at glory in his last four, as well as cash, hard earned. If he was just for money, he would have folded against Money. Outside of Hopkins, how many fans can say they're fighter is fighting top comp , younger comp, and comp that holds many different advantages over. Hardly any. Cotto is leaving this game, the same way he came in, fighting the best, no if and our butts, while making some good cash

They barely speak. Their relationship was hostile. And if im not mistaken his uncle tried suing him to get money. I highly doubt he'd ever go back to him.

You know what...I'm gonna take back everything I said. You are so right man. He is going to finish exactly the way he started...he never ran away from anybody. He only fought the best competition period. I feel like a hypocrite after so many years supporting him.

roach can teach him how to get knocked out I think... other than that... he's an overrated trainer who has ridden off of manny's coat tails.

If Cotto wins every round he won't win on points. IMO.

I can't stand Cotto. He used to be one of the best when he actually fought the best. Now all he does is fight overhyped tomato cans. He won't even hold post fight interviews after he loses. I don't know why people like this guy.

Fact is, his career was over after he quit against Margacheato. I think Clotty was robbed in his fight, then he lost to PAC, and hasn't fought anyone good until Floyd and Trout. Take out all of the bs fights in between like Yuri Foreman, and he lost to Margacheato, Clotty (IMO), PAC, Floyd, and Trout. That's five losses in a row. He's done.

Only fight I would be interested in seeing him fight is a battle of hasbeens, Cotto vs Mosley.

BUT mark my words! Cotto will come back, claim to have reinvented himself and continue to fight tonmato cans and receive praise from the boxing community for it. Wake up people.

He can't just keep blaming the trainer every time he loses.

How many trainers is this now?

He should have just stayed with Pedro Diaz.
