Cotto still blaming trainers, no new information here I see.

Cotto is what he's always been, a great one-handed fighter. He'll always lose to great two-handed fighters.

Whoever thought it'd be a good idea to train him and develop him to ignore the right hand, or to groom him to fight orthodox should be the one he's blaming for the path his career has taken

Southpaws have the biggest advantage in boxing, and you turn one into a righty that DOESN'T USE THE RIGHT HAND.

      lol

True but he already has the all around skills. He might benefit from an offensive minded training camp.

people underrate freddie roach, but cotto better not think he can take it easy, roach pushes guys hard, after a fighter gets with roach they turn into crazy stamina, hardened warriors

look at khan with roach, from wuss who gets wobbled by jabs to hardman warrior who brawls it out with the likes of maidana, or jorge linares vs demarco where he displayed a much more solid chin before and after roach, aswell as turned into a blood and guts guy in that fight, freddie couldn't even persuade him to go back to boxing, the guy wanted to lay a beatdown on demarco

plus cotto could get sparring with pacquiao, which could be the other thing turning these people into demons

aye, converting is a bad idea, the cross is usually the money punch vs the opposite stance, if you convert you're likely just a hook kind of guy

although cotto's right hand isn't that bad

dumb move. roach can't teach nor show him crap. he should've stayed with diaz. diaz was doing a great job.a fighter ca'nt win all the time.but the conditioning techniques and starategies that diaz brought to cotto's camps were on point.roach absolutely can't teach crap. (OVER RATED)

Agreed. Pedro had Cotto in the best shape of his life against Floyd.

the flip side is that he was in terrible shape for trout. He was gassed in the 9th against Floyd, and looked didn't start 5 against trout.

Yeah. You could see it before the bell rang in the Trout fight.

I assume it's hard to get up for someone like Trout when you've just had the biggest fight in your career months prior. If Cotto lacks the hunger he should retire.

Gameplan-wise, his best bet is Diaz.
