Floyd should demand a catch weight of no more than a 150 lbs and demand 8 oz gloves, to ensure that Canelo doesn't outweigh him by some 20 odd pounds or more on fight night and that he doesn't lose any of his hand or foot speed; Due to fighting a naturally heavier and stronger man at a higher weight class.

Obviously this fight isn't going to happen. The best case scenario for both guys is that it replaces the Pacweather 'rivalry' and helps both of them sell their fights.

On point and I agree. Some people would rather the fight not happen just so they can accuse Floyd of ducking. Not that they are interested in the matchup.

Despite the facts that:

1. He hasn't vacated his belt at 154
2. The fight is currently being negotiated
3. He has 6 more months to defend his title
4. He said he is going to defend his title later this year
5. It's the biggest fight that can be made in the sport right now and the opponent is under the same promotional team

The funniest part about it to me is this time last year it was considered a joke of a fight, a complete cherry pick and miss match.

In fairness, Canelo has beaten Trout since then so it's obviously holds more weight now but even before the Trout fight, the views on the fight were a complete 180.

Canelo won't be able to impose his size, nor will he have much success in the middle of ring, which is where Mayweather will keep the fight. Floyd will approach this fight entirely different to how he approached Cotto. After the fight I expect the usual Mayweather was running
