And Canelo fought Trout on free showtime and Trout was a fighter coming off a win over a popular opponent. They made the tickets dirt cheat to give the Illusion that Canelo is worth more then he really is.Canelo don`t deserve even 30% in a fight with Floyd.
At the time, Mosley was P4P fighter coming from a impressive victory over Margarito, this fight was very anticipated. But Canelo fight is potential record breaking mega hit, a young guy who has huge following on the day of his national holiday. He deserves 40 %

Tickets were cheap, so what? He still filled 40k seats. If Guerrero (last opponent) or Alexander (possible future opponent) fought Trout I doubt they would filled my 15 seats big basemant. Do you see the diffrence?

Everyone knows Latino boxing fans are hardcore and they buy hardcore for the fellow countrymen. That's what will happen with Canelo. He is international superstar that will actually get people to BUY his PPV. Mayweather may be international, but not enough to get people to buy his $70 PPV on his own.

Mayweather NEEDS Canelo to break the 2.4 million PPV buys that DLH did with Mayweather. Mayweather always piggy backs off of Mexican fighters on his cards anyways. He knows Mexican fighters bring that die hard fan base.
Mayweather did 1.4 mil PPV buys with Mosley and nobody knew who Canelo was at the time.Floyd contributed greatly to the Oscar /Floyd PPV.Oscar never did anywhere near 2.5 mil PPV buys with other opponents. His Biggest PPV without Floyd was with Trinidad and that fight did 1.4 million ppv buys.Heck Floyd did that with Mosley who has way less fans then Trinidad.

Canelo is Mexican so how many PPV buys did he do?He never even headlined a PPV even though he fought an opponent that was coming off of a win over a big name opponent.Canelo was on the Mosley/Mora PPV undercard and that fight flopped on PPV.

And a lot of Mayweather`s PPV buys come from Black Americans.

In fairness, Canelo has beaten Trout since then so it's obviously holds more weight now but even before the Trout fight, the views on the fight were a complete 180.
And now all the Floyd fans say he's too big for Floyd, after watching the Trout fight.

Things that make you go HMMMMMM.........

Alvarez is in the same position Floyd was against Oscar, actually probably even worse off. Floyd had at least headlined 3 PPV's, selling above 300K every time. Floyd had to take peanuts against Oscar and give him everything.

              40%?

he's only made money in the very low millions, which is still very high for a young fighter.

40% would be sky high. i'm guessing it's way less. probably around 25% at best.

cotto got an 8 million garantee compared to mayweatheather's 32 million guarantee.

the split may be what derails the fight. alvarez and his team value him very highly. they won't go into this for short money.

Canelo doesn't stand much of a chance. Old Delahoya was a bigger threat let's be real.

If Canelo demands 40-50% then I'm not blaming Floyd for the fight not happening.

30-35% is more than enough for Canelo at this point. Then demand 40-50% for the rematch.

GTFOH with that 40% B.S.Floyd is a much bigger draw then Canelo and fights under his own promotional company which also means he finances or co-finances his own fights.Richard Scheafer said it himself that Floyd spends 10 million in promotional fees. And if those ticket sales for the Canelo/Trout fight was the same price as the tickets for the Floyd/Guerrero fight it would`nt have sold anywhere near 40,000 ticket sales which is why Canelo priced those tickets cheap. And Canelo has never headlined a PPV.

I say Canelo deserves 10 mill at the most with a percentage of the PPV.

That's a **** ton of money. Relative to Canelo's fame, that's more than fair.
