Well guess what, Canelo also has a mandatory (WBC) with El Oro de Guantanamo...why is he not fighting him? That mandatory is overdue longer.

After El Oro de Guantanamo beats El Perro, what will Canelo excuse be? If he not chasing Money, fight your overdue mandatory in El Oro de Guantanamo.

Nothing can really be said or done until after Floyd fights Guerrero. All of this is just barking to promote a potential fight. Floyd could come out with some minor injuries that could prevent him from even thinking about fighting on 9/14. He could also come out fresh with just the typical minor bruises and bumps after a fight that would make him ready for 9/14. Ultimately, it was Floyd along with Golden Boy that reserved the date for 9/14. Odds are the fight is happening, yeah ideally Canelo fighting right before on 5/4 would have created even more buzz since it's literally right before the Floyd fight but the way it has turned out has been really good either way.

Also.....Floyd wasn't handed anything. Canelo has been handed basically everything in his career. If Floyd was an African American with natural blonde hair, maybe he would have been a star right away.

I agree, the same should happen to Money but Money is currently scheduled to fight one of his mandatory on May 4th in the Ghost so again Canelo should be doing the same with El Oro de Guantanamo.

Canelo realizes that Floyd doesn't have the sack to get in the ring with him. They tried to play him to get him to help Floyd's PPV's and it didn't work.
Good move by him. He is basically telling Floyd sign the fight like you said you would or find another date.

Bull****! ODH's max was 1.4 mil with Tito and 2.4 mil with floyd. FLoyd did 1.5 with cotto. Floyd got an oppotunity to fight ODHbut he made the most of it with the sheer force of his personality.

Stop acting like ODH sold that fight on his own. Floyd made 24/7 must see TV which drove fight sales through the cieling.

Not really.....it takes two to tango. And how many times has Oscar sold over 1 million PPV's.....4 times and 2 of those were with Floyd and Manny themselves. Floyd has sold over 1 million 5 times, and over 1.5 or more twice.

Looks aside, Canelo was handed everything in his career. Floyd earned becoming a draw the hard way, and to fight Oscar he had to give up everything. Canelo should do the same. Watch Canelo ask for 50-50 which is INSANE. The kid has still never headlined a PPV in his life.

I keep reading where some people are saying, why should Floyd fight Canelo? I ask why not?

1) Does Floyd for money and not belts (his own words)....YES.
2) Would Canelo bring more money to the table versus anyone else? YEP.
3) What challenges does Mayweather have at 147? Limited.

So I ask again. Why shouldn't Floyd take the fight?

Guerrero poses more of a threat than Canelo at this point. Guerrero can fight a hard 12 rounds without gassing out. Guerrero can throw more than 40 punches per round. They should make Canelo vs Lara. We could use a good staring contest.

You bedwetter, if Canelo is so interested in fight the best at 154, fight El Oro de Guantanamo who is a career long 154 and his Mandatory for the WBC instead of tryingto fight a 147 lber who have only had TWO fights at 154.

Mayweather's people told Canelo's they would fight in the fall if they both won on May 4th. His people and Golden Boy have stated this multiple times. When it came time to get that in writing Floyd said no. Floyd's people tried to play Canelo and it didn't work.
